Yes and no. I just completed a cross country move from Florida to San Diego, so right now the wagon is on the back burner after being towed to SD. I had the car running about a week before the car hauler came to grab it, but then I flooded the the carb and it didn't start. Luckily the hauler had a winch and winched it up on the tractor trailer.

Updates are coming, just not for at least a month or so...

If you go crazy may I suggest going the route that botoneta racing did with theirs in mexico. weld an EG6 front end on and have fun with modern day swaps. I had a d16 in mine and never even thought about doing a clip swap, but now wish i had

Thanks for the link but it doesn't seem to work. As for a modern day swap, I myself am thinking down the lines of a D or B-series to replace the ancient E-series motor in it now. I've also toyed with the idea of a K-20 swap in there... I currently have a working supercharged B-series and a K-series ready to go.

As for the EG front end, that sounds like a great idea but unfortunately I do not know how to weld precisely.

Fab shop is rammed right now, looks like the major welding and tube frame should begin in May or so...

Did buy a new battery, cleaned the points on the distributor and the rotor with some sandpaper, still no luck. Will dive into it more on the weekend and see if the the nearly new Weber carb is acting up. Might be a timing issue too!!

Turns out the distributor was from a 1982 engine, I just have to verify the engine code on the block to see if it is truly a CVCC or another type of engine.
At first I was confused how you cleaned "points" on an eletronic dizzy, but now I am with you...

Holy hell those mirrors look amazing!! I plan on doing a 4x100 conversion so I can have a much wider variety of wheels for the wagon, so those sweet 4x120 will not be making it...

Plus I got some Mugen MR5's that I wanna slap on the car once the conversion is done...

Thanks for the link Kuroneko!

All I'm waiting on is my fab guy to free up his shop, gotta get some serious welding and frame work done (and done right) before I can even start.

This is totally bitchen man . I just found one myself about a week ago. However it's in the junkyard but it seems to be pretty straight.

Just a very minor update, still at my fabricator's shop. I have no idea on the progress since I dropped it off there in late July but I plan on heading over there later this week to get a visual on the progress.

When you have 2 other project cars, life, beginning a second career, and vacations, that's how I did it. It's getting major chassis modifications, I'm not in a rush.

lol my 79 d16zc swap has been over the course of like 4 years of the car being down and I went months without opening it for a while or just pumping the tires up and TBH man id sell the K-Swap and just go D/B Series, you are looking at fully 10-15k + in parts/labor with custom fabricated mounts, throwing the weight balance of the car off from how far forward the K-Swap has to sit in the bay and the axles are at facked up angles from the same problem. Axles have to be made, custom pedal assembly, will need a fully custom engine and dash harness, custom aftermarket universal compact radiator and brake master/slave. and a fully custom fuel system the OEM tank/lines will not support 175+ hp . The cost of power per $$$ the D/B is a much bettter option and you dont have to worry about obd2 evap/emissions related issues. If its been there since july and no motor in it yet id 110% sell it and go D-Series and id punch your fabricator in the nutts because my swap start to finish was under 2 weeks in the fab shop and thats taking their time, whats required cutting etc for the swap is all documented under my build thread . Good luck and would like to see some progress.
