True I suppose...
A real pity, because they respond really well to full throttle, and sit really great in hard corners...

Replacement?
Possibly something with a flat-6.

Yeah, me too!
I will have to borrow my friend's Skyline GT-B for those Tokyo pics now...

Hey Kuroneko

I am very sorry to hear that you will sell your S800. With your excellent pictures and your stories from the Honda-heartland you've been an enrichment not only to this forum.

I hope you will stay in contact with the Honda-community and have fun with your new toy. Please share a pic when you have it...

Mark

Thanks, as it's not sold yet and I am going out tonight for a drive!
First potential visits on Sunday though...

You could keep this thread going with updates on your new ride....

Sad to hear Neko that you are selling the Coupe, here's hoping it stays in Japan so you can continue to photograph it.

From one S to another S.
My partner prefers it to the last S, as its more comfortable, and she's even OK with a bit of spirited touge driving - unlike the old S which typically had screams coming from the passenger seat.

It's faster, but the new one doesn't sound as good, and I miss the power bulge:

With a bit of luck I will be seeing it at next weekend's Tokyo Bayside Classic Cup.

More comfortable perhaps, but it lacks the soul of the S. And here I was thinking you'd end up with a NSX.

Me too!
But, too expensive.
Plus, the Cayman has a bigger trunk.

Luckily, a friend has an NSX though and we spent today car swapping.

If you're interested in following more Japan touring stuff, with the occasional kyusha dropped in, here's a thread on Renn List.
See ya, and keep those Honda going...

Default Re: S600 Coupe.

While this is me lately:

This is a good friend, who after being exposed to the S800 here, discovered a S600 Coupe sitting in a garage, undriven for the last 15 or more years (I think), and who has spent the last two to three weeks going over it from new tires, adjusting fuel pump contacts, cleaning and tweaking a variety of S600 settings to be able to get a temp plate secured, and is now enjoying stuff like this:

I am trying to get him to take over this thread, with his S600 story...

I keep encountering S cars too, recently I discovered my neighbor has one, and I stopped at a gyoza and ramen shop a few weeks ago where the head drove one too:

Ignore the Cayman reflection.

See ya!
Neko

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
More Spoon here.

I'll miss the spectacular countryside scenes should you leave Kuroneko, but love that you've located more S cars in the area. Hope to see more in the future.

Thanks!
I'll try and post the occasional Honda content here, but if you want general Japan touring stuff, feel free to follow Car on Film, or the Cayman S on Rennlist...

It always feel weird though taking photographs of a damn Porsche in Japan, not sure I will ever get used to that.
Whereas, the S was just cool!

See ya!
