1965 SM-600 pics
Here's some pics of my new project at hand. I had a CHP officer we know run the numbers and it came back as a SM600 not just an S600. Supposedly only 1519 were made in that model number. Here's a segment from wikipdeia explaing the difference of the SM series
"Both the S600 roadster and coupé were available in standard trim and a special, upgraded package called the SM600 which included, among other items, special paint colors, exclusive badging, a standard radio and speaker, a special antenna in the passenger side sun visor, standard reversing lights, a standard cigarette lighter, a standard heater, better cushioned seats, and a detachable seat track for quick removal of the passenger seat".
The original color of the car is just the same as Jay Leno has.

Very nice find! The blue SM600's are very rare ... but I guess any S-series is a rare beast.
As Kevin has pointed out your S600 has a S800 grill fitted (IMHO the S600 grill is much nicer looking). There is a seller on CL in the LA area right now with a S600 grill and a few other parts listed (listed as S800 parts).
How much of an engine (if any) came with the roadster?
Do you have the hood for your new machine? The correct hood should be flat with a recess front center for the Honda badge. If you have a hood with a bulge/speed bump on the right side that would be an S800 hood. I have an NOS S600 hood still in the wooden factory crate in Orange County if you are looking for one.

It has the original hood (no bulge). Also i agree on the original grille being much nicer than the 800. I appreciate the leads guys.

sadly, the only thing the SM600 package offers that i like would be the colors and the detacheable passenger seat... everything else? pass... :D great little project car. good luck to you.
