Huge NW Ontario June 1st Cruise/Meet
tbAEC/D-SCE/VWvortex/MNnissan/ClubRedline/TeamIntegra Blue-Tape Run
...and hopefully H.T. too! Calling ALL H.T. members from Northwestern Ontario, CANADA and Minnesota, USA... OFFICIAL TIME/DATE/EVERYTHING. - Sunday, June 1st 2008 - Arrive by 2:00PM Local(Central) Time (3:00PM Eastern time) - Grand Marais, Minnesota USA. Waterfront by the coast guard station near the large lighthouse. Downtown / main street - on the left side. A group of us from the Thunder Bay Automotive Enthusiast Club (www.tbaec.ca) will be crusing down to Grand Marais, MN from Thunder Bay, ON. D-SCE(www.d-sce.com) members will be there. VW Vortex(www.vwvortex.com) members will also.. So will MN Nissan(www.mnnissan.net) members.. As well as Club Redline(www.clubredline.net).. And even some Team Integra(www.team-integra.net) members.. And I hope Honda-Tech members will show up with good pressence.. If coming from Canada: . Remember, a valid PASSPORT or BIRTH CERTIFIATE + ONE(1) pieces of government issued PHOTO ID at the border. . No drugs.. . Keep your wads of thousands of dollars at home, as crossing with a lot of money in cash is apparantly a problem.. . Try and keep alcohol to a minimum, you can only carry across a certain amount, and certain brands are illegal for "import" to America (Just buy it there, it's cheaper) . Try and keep your JDM stunt driving to a minimum, as it reflects on the group as a whole. Burnouts, doughnuts, stop light racing, and high speed highway roll races are good examples of things to avoid, especially in America. It's an hour and a half drive from Thunder Bay - with about 5-10 minutes at the border. Expect a delay as there will be enough of us to congest the poor guys in the booths. Also declare everything you bring back, we're travelling as a group and a bad apple can ruin it for the majority at the back of the pack.. Activities for the groups include a meet and greet, lunch at a restaurant or two, a cruise around, and a few other spur-the-moment things we'll figure out when we get there. Unfortunately no cage fight at this time.. Remember, gas is cheaper across the border - 99 cents a litre cheap - so if you feel so inclinded to go with a half tank and fill up there, a pit stop will can be done. P.S. Our club will be masking our front ends with Blue Painters Tape in order to both avoid rock chips at highway speeds and to differentiate between the clubs(each will sport a different colour). I do encourage you to join in the fun https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif P.S.S. If anyone has 2-way radio's BRING THEM! Modified by too_cool_3 at 11:36 AM 5/17/2008 |
