Yeah, I noticed right away just the weight of the motor on that fan, it was like 3x as heavy as the eBay one. Definitely a good call, thanks again for the deal man!

Yep, I have the oem brace for the t case on it.
So after draining all my fuel out I put 6 gallons of premium in it along with a bottle of heet which is basically isopropyl alcohol to help mix in any remainding water and the car still runs very inconsistent so I drained my tank again. This was towards the end of draining it and you can still see a ton of separation of fuel and ethanol/water. Definitely learned my lesson to never wash out a gas tank without throughly drying it. I didn't think it would have been this big of an issue but oh well. Now I have almost 15 gallons of premium/ h2o mix lol.

It's an iron bracket that bolts up behind the oil pan and angles down to the t case lower front bolt. I can take a picture of it tomorrow.

Thanks man!
Today i I finally fixed the fuel in the water issue I've been dealing with the last few days. I pulled the fuel cell last night and used a leaf blower and some gravity to force the majority of the water out of the foam in the fuel cell then I let it sit overnight with a sock tied and filled with rice to absorb moisturize.
I also swung by ef parts today to grab a heatercore valve and found mine to be in decent shape while swapping it out. Then I decided to flush the heatercore out using a hose to wash it out of both sides of the heatercore hoses. That did the trick and now my heater blows nice and hot again. My fuel pressure is up since I cleaned out the fuel system and fuel filter and my fuel pump is noticeably quieter. My fuel pressure gauge would originally flicker at about 37 psi and now it's sitting at just about 50 psi while running. We're expecting 12" of snow this weekend so I probably won't be turning it up till sometime next week.
Also on a side note the $10.99 evergreen headgasket I'm running is leaking a decent amount of oil from the front corner. I was expecting a leak but this is a bit more then I want, I like to keep my **** clean so it's nice to work on so I will probably buy an oem Honda crv headgasket and put a little rvt near the drain backs when I redo the headgasket. Nothing else leaks though which makes me happy. I replaced the trasnfercase cover with one from a blown up parts tranny a buddy gave me because my old one had a small crack in it causing the trans to leak some oil.
Also, my seat heaters have been amazing. I'm glad I bought them for my old long travel ranger and didn't install them before selling it. They were definitely worth installing and make the car seem so much more luxurious then just a 90 crx dx.
Im gonna be building a full 3" turbo back exhaust for the car to tone it down since I hear more exhaust then just fuel pump now lol. I bought some bad *** a frame style hangars that will help tuck it up nicely and keep it in place. One of my buddies is changing up the exhaust on his ek and will be giving me a 3" magnaflow resonator. I want to make an oval shape tip to exit where the stock exhaust is intended to originally.

Yeah, my trans didn't come with that. Not sure if it would have helped anyways. I ended up sheering off the teeth on the countershaft, which went through everything cracking the bell housing and t case. Good times! Thanks for the picture. Nice job on the build.

Thanks man.
i finally got the fuel pressure drop issue resolved. After trying just about everything I could think of I had an opiphany that maybe having an inline filter just before the pump was causing a major restriction, sure enough after removing it I went out and did a little pull and it was amazing, my afrs shot all the way down into the 9's which before at about 7k anything over 11lbs or so it would climb from high 12's straight up to 13 or even 14 in a split second before I could let out. The fuel pump sounds even happier, it's still somewhat loud but before it sounded like a aeromotive a1000. I can't explain how happy I am that my fuel system is finally capable of making some power. This has been an issue since the original b20 turbo motor which wasnt a huge deal for the low power level it was at but I did notice allot of inconsistencies when I was trying to tune it. now it will be a whole different car. The top end feels straight gnarly on this motor. Hopefully tomorrow we don't have any snow and I can get a buddy to come drive it for me so I can get it dialed in some and turned up.

Thanks man. The car feels amazing. I did a little second gear pull today in the wet and it straight gets it. I'm really happy with the awd system, it works very well and makes such a big difference in how the car feels vs your standard fwd turbo Honda in bad weather. Also we got a little snow today so I got permission to do a few cookies in a private parking lot. Here's the YouTube video.

That is friggin awesome man. The more I see stuff like this, the more I am convinced I will need to awd mine at some point.

I was honestly out of building cars for myself for the last 6 years before I bought this as a shell and I'm really glad I did man. The awd stuff is gonna be big once they get more recognition and aftermarket companies start mass producing more parts I believe. the one big downfall to higher hp hondas is traction and with an awd setup in such a light car it really makes for an insane street car. I remember a few years after I got into hondas seeing videos on YouTube of this actual car when it was up in Washington but it was a turbo sohc and made probably 180whp, at that power level it really made no sense.

Re: K7-1Ktrevor's AWD CRX build, 500whp or bust
today I tried to tune the car a bit with my buddy driving it. Unfortunately I ran into a few issues. This happened after a pull, gotta love cheap eBay dizzys lol. Also I'm pretty positive that I need to do a headgasket on the car, it's leaking oil and just recently started pushing air into the coolant system which is fine, I wanted to change it out for an oem Honda headgasket anyways. I only torqued the arp headstuds to 75ftlbs when I assembled it because it started to feel funny when I was torquing them. It will be a good opertunity to look through the motor and check on the cam cap wear and a few other things. It's just cold as **** right now but I plan to get it done this week.

Yeah I picked this one up bnib from a buddy for cheap. Threw a new cap and rotor on it and it fired right back up.

Made some toe plates today from some scrap pieces I had laying around, 2" flat stock, some round bar I got for free to straighten the flat bar and some 1" square tubing to add a lip to sit on the wheels and a spoke to attach them to the wheels with some hook and loop tape. got the alignment dialed in since I installed the skunk2 camber kit and da knuckles from the build. I had about 1" of toe in prior to making adjustments. The car drives almost perfect I just need to adjust both tie rod ends slightly to the right to center the wheel perfectly. Not pictured but I also used some make shift turntables for the steering from thin cutting boards from Walmart with a tiny bit of oil in between them. They worked great to help unload the suspension after jacking it up for adjustments. If you've never done your own alignment I highly suggest it, its really nice to feel like you can literally fix any aspect of the car without having to pay someone else for labor.

Just so you know, I had a dream last night where I was looking at all these CRX's, there was a girl with a 700hp one and she was bemoaning the fact that she has no traction. I mentioned your CRX to her and referred her to your build thread. Weird dream, lol.

Today I decided to finally do the headgasket. Sure enough the $10.99 evergreen gasket **** the bed and was causing air bubbles to get into the coolant. Went with a oem Honda head gasket. No more air in the coolant and also did the 4th oil change. Still super dark after about 200 miles on it. Still need to spend a little more time dialing in the electronic boost control but it definitely helps reduce spool time and the boost comes in very fast also I got the new rear ss lines for my disc brake conversion so I just need to set a day to do that and the rear trailing arm bushings as well.
