Hello everyone, this question has been sitting in the back of my head for about a year now. I have a K-swapped civic with a type R trans (stock LSD 6speed) for the most part i know K series parts are interchangeable and from what im understanding the bell housings are the same. Is it possible to take the AWD transmission housing or bell housing and put it on the 6 speed gear stack and still keep the stock LSD?

The clutch housings are different.

I've not converted one, but looking at parts diagrams you would need the clutch housing, entire transfer case assembly, transfer gears (including ring gear), ring gear bolts, and the LSD would need to be modified.

how would the LSD need to be modified? just curios if its even worth it?

The flange needs to be countersunk. I would just buy a Gear-X LSD.
