Default Viper two way remote start, remote icons not changing

I'm having two possibly related issues. When I remote start my car, get in, drive to wherever, and get out, the little exhaust icon stays on the remote until I manually arm my alarm. I have it set to passively arm, so if I let it do that, the exhaust icon stays lit on the remote, even after the alarm arms. Also, when the alarm passively arms, and the doors lock, the unlock icon is still displayed, it never switches to locked. The only time it will change to the locked icon is when I manually arm the alarm.

WTF mates?

it could be that you turned of the two way feature on the remote.

press and hold the p on the back

then press the siren button, if the speaker is shown, the two-way feature is activated..

Just downloaded the owners manual and checked, it does seem that page mode was disabled. Press and hold the P button, then press the * button (the remote start button) to toggle page mode on and off.

try unplugging your antenna. let it sit for about 10 min. then plug it back it and try your remote again. this resets the circuit board in the antenna. this has worked for me numerous times.
