Upgrading to competition system

I'm sure this has been answered, but I've been looking for well over an hour and I'm done with rabbit holes. So, for cb7 audiophiles... I just got a 200 amp alternator and waiting on the xs 3400 battery to get here, I have all 1/0 wiring, and fuses, ect. Blaaa blaa blaa. Gonna be running 2 ppi 2600 amps and 1 ppi 1000.4 amp , pushing 4 skar evl12s. Question is, what do I need to do as far as wiring this alternator through the fuse box. I have the small 3 upgrade (2 gauge) but swapping that all to the 1/0. My cb7 is heavily customized and thus I've deleted the AC and power steering, done proper, not looped. Can I just put the 200 amp alternator in place of the ac compressor or power steering and run the cable to the trunk to the xs battery, thus having a stand alone charging for the stereo system and have the stock alternator run the rest of the car as intended?

I wouldn’t because the two will create different voltage potentials. Remove your stock alternator and install the new one. Might also look into using a circuit breaker instead of a fuse at the battery. Makes for way less hassle if you need to pull anything or do a quick removal with the amps.

thanks for the reply, I figured it out a while ago and it only cost about 6k. Lol. The 200a alternator was b.s. it lasted about 30 hrs. Bought from bnrparts on ebay, sent it back and haven't seen it in 5 months, but that's another story. I ended up having js Alternators build me one and it's badass, 430a. Only used it for a bit when I decided to build a 4th order bandpass blow through, then got air suspension, then said, why the hell not and found a h22a. So the car is on its second upgrade in 2 years. This time I have 3 xs d3400, and had a p72 programed to bypass the eld. So I'm running 3 1/0 shca cables from alternator, 2 will run to 1 battery which has 400a circuit breaker and that battery will run together with number 2 battery which will run audio, air suspension, led, el wire, and all the other accessories I got crammed up in this cb7. The third will run like normal strictly for the lil money hungry batch. The 2 accessory batteries run through a anl fuse holder I fabricated and out to 4 ppi amps, 2 7000.1 strapped together and pushing 4 skar evl12d2 running 1 ohm, a 1000.1 for all my mids and highs and a 800.2 pushing 2 skar 65d4 minisubs. I can't wait to hear or feel it with the new box, it was loud enough with my last box I built which was a ported and tuned to 32hz. With them inverted and sharing air space, this new 4th order should bring it to the next level.
