Re: Tweeter install
yeah im pretty much set on getting a set of infinity reference 6.25 shallow coax.
am i thinking that a 5.25 might be better up front if i dont care about bass since i think it will be better for mids and highs? im thinking ill just get the bass from the rears which have 6.5" reference non-shallow speakers. i like reference model because of the low sensitivity and i dont want to bother with installing an amp either. just more stuff to get stolen and torn up.... |
Re: Tweeter install
Im getting the components asap and i already have the tweeters

Re: Tweeter install
Why not just buy a speaker bar? Crutchfield has them, quality is great, look subttle and it's an easy install.

Re: Tweeter install
awesome place. best range in my opinion. I heard speakers by the front dash sound like razors in your ears with the highs. I went into a car with that set up and boy was he right. 5 minutes later. The sideview mount seems best. happpy tuning

Op, I suppose with the component set and the speaker bar you would have a nice combination. As for you search for the tweeter mount, just use the hole saw in the door panel. Its gonna be you easiest, most affordable, less label intensive way to mount them. |

They are too low. Tweeters are very directional and will get lost down there. They should have been mounted up higher and directed right at a passenger or driver.
That's not true, there are a variety of ways/places to mount tweeters and still get excellent imaging. For what he is wanting, I would get a good set of coaxes with tweeters you can position differently. However, in reference to the picture with the factory tweeter pods on the first page, the tweeter is too far back on the panel, positioned incorrectly and is probably too low. |
Re: Tweeter install
