Default suggest some speakers

i want to upgrade the speakers on my 01 integra. i want them to have some bass to it while not putting a strain on the battery and alternator. I dont want an amp or sub or anything like that, just better speakers with more bass than stock.

That'll be no issue. The head unit will put out the same amount of power, regardless of speakers (unless something crazy happens). I assume you're on either a stock radio (~15 watts per channel) or aftermarket (usually 22 RMS per channel). What is your budget? You could pick up some cheap VR3s ($25/pair) from Super Target if you just want a little gain over stock, or you could buy some good speakers online to get a heavier gain (and have room to grow with an amplifier later if your mind changes).

Are you looking to spend $50, $100, $150? I'm guessing 100 or less.

Also, even Walmart has semi decent speakers. The blue coned Pioneers there sound good for being $70 coaxials (per pair). You'll be a bit hard pressed to replace both pairs for less than $100 unless you just go the VR3 route mentioned above. But, if you only replace one pair, make it the door speakers where you hear the most. Maybe fade the rear out a little (fade to front) to tone down on stock-speaker distortion.
