python 5106p manual trans

so ive succesfully installed my third alarm and everything seems to work just great. This is the first wiht a manual trans. The only issue im having is i am unable to enable the MTS mode. Hopeing someone on here has a similar model or mabye DEI that has the same method who can clarify me the correct steps. This is directly from the manual.

1. With the engine running, press the foot brake and set the parking
brake.
For Pit Stop or Turbo Timer mode (to leave the engine running
after arming), open the driver door.
2. Release the foot brake.
3. Within 20 seconds of foot brake release, press any command
button on the remote, after 20 seconds return to Step 2 (For Turbo
Timer Mode, press the optional dash mounted activation button
or send the Timer Mode command.
4. The parking lights flash 5 times to confirm MTS mode is enabled
and the remote start activates the ignition outputs.
5. Turn Off and remove the key from the ignition switch, the engine
remains running.
6. Exit the vehicle, close all the doors and arm the system.
7. The engine turns off. If the door is opened in Step 1 then the
engine continues to run.

So someone please eligthen me. Where im stuck is in step 3 it says "Afer 20 seconds return to step 2" step 2 is to release the foot break. How am i going to release it when i have not pressed it???

Step 4 is the 5 light flash with i dont get this leads me to think my problem is somewhere before step 4. If on step 3 i press the remote start button Lights flash two times and i enter what i belive is pit stop mode, i am able to open my door and close it arm it (engine still running) for the "Pit stop"

Also i know the remote startt is working properly because if i switch to automatic mode the car start no problem.

Any help would be gratly appreciated.
