Help installing command start, Viper 5900
hey i'm having trouble understanding the commands start half of my alarm system. I don't know where to hook up the green and purple wires coming off the extremem capacity relay satellite. green is for starter, before the key. purple is for starter, after the key, to my understanding. do i just splice these wires in, or do I disconnect the starter wire pre-key and post-key to hook up green and purple?

Yes, cut/disconnect the starter wire from the ign, switch and connect the green and purple leads to the cut ends, DEI uses one relay for remote starting, starter cut and antigrind. 94

FCM, I saw you post in another thread a while back about installing the 5900 without command start (I think). I depinned the yellow wire from the ribbon and am going to attach it to a "true ignition" when I find it today...
I sort of screwed up on the install and hooked the backup battery to the brain without anything else attached. Stupid. Is my alarm brain fried? I couldn't get it to respond when I had it hooked up without the extreme capacity relay before... Finding a new brain might not be too difficult if that's the case...
