so im pretty bad at understanding wiring and alarms my smarts are with the engine(sorry for the noob question). when i bought my car it came an alarm,auto unlock/lock they never worked for me but there is a little red button on the drivers side kick pannel and little light on the steering collum. i've tried pressing the bottons in sysc and other such things to see if it responds but nope. any suggestion on how to test/check it. for all i know it might not even be conected the last owner butchered the ecu wiring to.

Does alarm arm/disarm when you use the remote?

Is it only the unlock that does not work, or is it both lock and unlock that do not work?

Find alarm brain and get a make and model. 94

no it won't do anyting i can't even make it panic. im going to dig around under my dash and try n find what i can the wiring is just horrid tho

both seem to be good(light that blinks on the remote is bright) im going to have a look later tonight.

ok so the brand is "Autopage" model is autopage XT-59(got it off the fob still haven't found a central unit or w/e.

That will be the remote control model number, a 4 button, 1way remote, green w/white lock and unlock buttons, gray w/white trunk release and gray w/red EXT/remote start button, for the RF-305/310 and RF-405/410 systems, you will still need the mdel of the alarm brain.

Try reprograming the remote...

1- Turn ign. switch on.
2- Press and release the valet/program button three (3) times.
There will be one long and one short chirp.
3- Press any button on the remote.
There will be one short chirp, turn ign. off and try the remote. 94

any idea as to where it would be loctaed(the brain) i've been scrounching around under the dash for some time. ? i'll try the remote re-program but the little light doesn't come on can't seem to arm it(the light on the steering colum).

If the remote has "lost" programing, it will not arme the alarm, so no LED flash.

Try the reprograming. 94
