Default Dome light supervision relay question, bad place for a diode?

I wired up my relay but my dome light supervision doesn't work. Dome light is active and working when door is open or turned on manually. I hear the relay click 30 seconds after ignition disengages, so it is functioning, ground is good, power is good.

I spliced the dome light wire, coming off the relay, into the door trigger wire coming off the alarm. there is a diode on it as my trunk trigger shares that wire as well (it also has a diode).

Is that diode my problem? Should I tap in so it isn't isolated by the diode, but keep the alarm's door trigger wire isolated???

Alarm: Viper 5900

Thanks.
