help?
 
so ive been running around with no radio for like 3 months, finally got a new pioneer head unit, tried hooking it up with no luck i cant figure out what im doing wrong, i have the battery wire from the radio hooked to the white/blue constant wire in the dash, the red accesory wire from the deck is connected to the yellow/red ign wire in the dash, the ground is hooked up and the illum is hooked to the red/black wire in the dash, i have an 89 civic si also by the way, what am i doing wrong?

Have you checked the fuses that protect the constant, [white/blue] and switched, [yellow/red] leads? 94

like in the fusebox or in the dash somewhere?, if you didnt guess im new at this

Yup, fuse box under the driver dash and in the engine bay

yep checked, no blown fuses, the deck is a newer pioneer, could it have a anti-theft system im not aware of?

What about the fuse on the the back of the radio.

If not the fuse on the radio double check the constant wire if it has 12v through it at all times the ignition 12v only when you turn the key on and make sure you have a good ground check resistance if not sure just run your own ground. You only need these three to turn on the radio.

Did you check all the fuses cause I think clock, cigarette, and domelight fuses also links to the radio. Meter all the fuses make sure that they get 12v on both ends some times the fuses may not look blown to the eye but they are.

yep the lighter fuse was burnt, got it in and working, thanks guys
