crackling sound from speakers sometimes sound don't work?
ok ive had a problem with my sounds for a while now and its irritating. My deck is a kenwood deck with a alpine amp and a Eq. Since ive been driving around i noticed my speaker crackles the sound in the speakers like a crackling sound. if i turn the car off for a while and then i turn it on. it works like normal for a while then when i drive then it starts to act up again? i don't know if its the bumpiness in the road or what? I try turn the volume all the way down/ then it still got these creaking sounds from my speakers. also sometimes the volume don't work anymore if i turn it up it don't work. I just turn off unplug the whole deck faceplate entirely. What can be causing this creaking weird sound from my speakers.

Check to make sure that you wired the speakers correctly (+ and -). Speakers still work if you wire the polarity backwards, but give that crackling sound. Good luck.

could possibly be your hu, had the same issue with my hu except its a pioneer.
i had to ground my rca jacks to the chasis of the hu and that was the work around to mine
you can try that and see if it works for you also

Speakers wired out of phase will not make a "crackling sound" they will just be out of phase, it makes no diff. which way you wire stereo speakers, pos.(+) to pos.(+) and neg.(-) to neg.(-) or reversed, as long as both sides are the same, if not, the speakers will be our of phase and you will lose bass responce and SPL, SQ as a whole, but no crackling. 94

im sure the speaker wires are pos and neg same? i still cant find out the problem. it seems to act like popcorn sounds when driving for a while especially on slightly bumpy roads. im not really sure if its the bouncing but it seems to cut off its very irritating.
