Climate control (CC) lights with aftermarket stereo

Climate control (CC) lights with aftermarket stereo
Since the factory stereo controls the lights, how do I wire a aftermarket stereo to turn on the CC lights. I know there is a t-harness to connect BOTH the factory and aftermarket stereo but my factory stereo is gone.
Maybe I can run a jumper from the audio illumination wire to the climate control wiring?

MM&Y of car???
I know of no Honda/Acura that has a stock radio that control the lights, [illumination] the 96-98 Civic had the stock keyless entry R/F unit in the stock radio and the dome light door trigger went through the stock radio.94

OIC, it looks like more then illumination is run through, [as opposed to controlled by] the stock radio for the HVAC control head, I only suspect this by the number of "jumper" leads run from the Metra harnesses back to the stock radio in the video clip.
You say your stock radio is missing, but do all the other functions of the HVAC controls work other then illumination?
If so, then it should be just a matter of finding the illumination lead input and output on the radio plug and jumping them, hint, it will be a pair that do not connect to the aftermarket radio plug but just run between the two Metra adapter plugs, probably orange leads, the input on the stock radio plug, [blue] will be a red/black, it will line up with one of the orange lead on the Metra adapter plug, [white] sorry I do not know what color, [if not red/black] the output lead in the stock plug [blue] is, but I am guessing you will find one of the same color in one of the green plugs running to the HVAC control head. 94

Yes, the illumination lead is orange, right next to the constant. I do not have the metra plugs, my replacement deck is from a 2001 prelude and plugs directly into the Accord's stock female plug.
All the HVAC controls work, just no illumination.
The factory stereo motherboard has a male plug that connects to the back of the HVAC panel to enable all the audio control buttons and the hvac illumination. Since this board is absent, I will try tapping into the illumination lead and test each pin on the back of the HVAC panel.
Thanks for the help
