ANYONE KNOW ABOUT HONDA RADIOS AND CD PLAYERS I NEED YOUR HELP
I hit up my local junk yard and i came across a 91 crx 5spd really nice and it had the tape deck and cd player and when i when to take it off it also had a small black amp the size of an ecu and is said usa canada and some numbers but when i went to go pay it was like $90 bucks harness and all NO CRACKS!! and i didnt get it because i wasnt sure if i should or shouldnt. i have a 90 civic lx i can drop it in but idk if the cd would work with mp3 wich i doubt and i like the tape deck because i can hook up the ipod with cassette.
what i really need to know is how much can i sell the set for ? all original all clean.
if its worth it i will go back in 2 days and pick it up but need to know wassup thanks

Re: ANYONE KNOW ABOUT HONDA RADIOS AND CD PLAYERS I NEED YOUR HELP
What bone yard is that, an OEM radio with CD, [high end, like a Bose unit] or combo, radio/cass/CD is only $49 at PicknPull, $90 for a 91 unit, no mater how good a shape it is in is way too much.
I just got a radio/cass/CD controller W/EQ, [it runs my Alpine 6 disk changer] out of an Acura Legend for $14.99
Your right it will not play MP3, however you can get an adapter for the CD port on the back of the radio that would allow you to plug in your iPod using the docking port on the iPod for much better SQ then using a cass adapter and the iPods headphone output. 94

You can sell it for as much as someone is prepared to pay for it, again any OEM AM/FM/CD indash HU in working order will sell for $24.99, "high end" OEM units, like Bose, sell for $49.99 at PicknPull.
The last "slave" unit I got at PicknPull was a 6 disk slave for a Neon, [for a customer that had the controler radio/cass, it cost me $7, even less then eBay... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_kw=C...odge&_kw=slave
This should give you an idea of what to ask for it... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...All-Categories

The black box is an old CELL phone or maybe a hands free "brain", [not part of the audio system] and not worth anything.
Please tell me that you did not pay $90 for that grungy POC with a missing ****???94

That's an OKi M21-series car phone. It's an AMPS (analog) unit so it a paperweight.
Why it's connected to the radio I have no idea - maybe to mute the volume or interface for some convenience feature.

Re: ANYONE KNOW ABOUT HONDA RADIOS AND CD PLAYERS I NEED YOUR HELP
missing **** ok unit works fine. and what is a burnt molex?
Most likely this was piggy-backed off the radio for power or a convenience feature (probably power). Just get rid of that if you haven't already. It's not part of/required for the radio - it's part of an obsolete car phone.
Promise.

That oki unit looks just like the old teletrack units. It was out before lojack and was alot better.
Thats cd combo is a great find! And rare! Its was a buyer add on at the dealer. I don't see why you could not get $100-150 for someone building a oem build show car
