Alarm Install 92-95 Civic
First, Ive searched the recent and archived posts and couldnt find something specifically related to this. The closest I found is a prelude instal which helped a lot.
Also, I just finished reading a flame saying something along the lines of leaving stuff like this to profesionals. I have my reasons for learnign and doing this on my own.
**Aright** Basicaly, I have half of the wires installed, and Im looking for for a couple more. First Ill tell yall the ones Im lookign for and then the ones Ive already put in. Let me know if I did somethign terrible
This is for a Clifford Matrix 2 alarm
**Looking for**
1) (-) Door Trigger Input Zone 3 (Door Unlock or Lock?) Theres a diagram showing to tap the wire in between the door switch and dome light. Whats the wire color and location? If its under the dash, what color harness is it attached to?
2) (-) Instant Trigger Input, Zone 1 (Door Unlock or Lock?) Wire location and color?
**Installed**
1) First, supposed to interupt a wire going from the key to the starter. I found this wire wrapped with some other wires coming from the key. Fairly large gauge, Black with a white stripe.
2) Then for a constant 12V I tapped a large gauge solid white wire I found in the same area as the above.
3) For the ignition, I tapped the large gauge black wire with yellow stripe. In the same area as the above.
Installed the siren and grounded everythign to the metal plate behind the knee guard.
Everything else I believe is optional.
I got most of my info here, and tips on how to hide wires:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=584724
Please let me know if Ive done something wrong or am missing anything.
Thanks for anyhelp.
Steve

The door trigger you connect to the door pin switch wire, adn the Instant trigger input is designed to be hooked to a trunk or hood pin

Re: Alarm Install 92-95 Civic (30psiCiv)
- The green w/ white stripe and the green w/ red stripe...
Can these be found on a green two wire harness not connected to anything right above the clutch?
This is normal to have a harness not connected to anythign right?
Also, any ideas on why the doors wont lock/unlock if those two wires are the right ones?
Maybe I just cant figure out how to program the thing right...
Thanks for any help.

Re: Alarm Install 92-95 Civic (NonAutoX)
Still trying to find the right green/white and green/red.
I can see them going to the lock/unlock, only I cant find them after they come back into the car.
Any ideas on wheres these are or even how to route 2 wires into the doors?
Thanks

They dont come in to the car. The door lock control is in the driver door above the speaker. you will have to run a speaker wire into the door to make this connection for your locks.

Re: Alarm Install 92-95 Civic (30psiCiv)
It works! Only I had to take off the door panel and tie going striaght ot it. I cant figure out how to pull a wire into the door. All the wires going out I cant see and the wires going into the door I cant reach or see. Any ideas on how to route wire into the door?
Also, the lock unlock chirps are a lot softer, could this be because I havent welded the lock/unlock wires yet? It sounds liek the siren isnt getting enough power.
Thanks for all the help!

Re: Alarm Install 92-95 Civic (NonAutoX)
Nevermind, I was about to drill when I found to stock holes. One was a broken off weatherstripping tab and another a sealed off grommet that maaco had painted over
Thanks for all the replies

Re: Alarm Install 92-95 Civic (NonAutoX)
i'm not sure if the cliffords have it, but DEI sirens do, there's a back wire that does a loop out of the siren and back into it. If so, cut this and it will make it about 6 dB's louder
