Default Aftermarket Headunit Dies

So I'm new to this as far as posting a question as i usually just find my problem in a different thread but i cannot find my problem. So I'm a big bass guy and just now finally getting into it myself. I grew up listening to all my family and their friends with it and now its my turn. i have a 98 civic lx sedan with a boss 2400w amp with 2 l7s 15 (a little much but whatever). when i first got my car my door speakers didn't work and the 6x9s did but were stock and crappy. after installing my subs my two 6x9s blew so i installed cheap door speakers that worked great and had no problems for about 2 months. Last night i installed 2 6x9 kickers without changing any settings at all. Now when i turn my amp up my head unit cuts off and back on and will continue until the bass gets softer or i turn my amp down. i have no upgrades and only have a 6 gauge wire running from my battery to a cheap compacitor (500k walmart special) and 8 gauge from compositor to my amp with a sony head unit that i have no idea where it came from.. i had it in my dsm and it worked fine with my speakers and 2 type r's. Everyone i ask about it says i need at least a 4k compositor and 0 gauge power wires. anyones input would be greatly appreciated.
