Default 2010 Crv Remote Start/Alarm Install

Hello, I recently picked up a 2010 Crv and would like to install a clifford or perhaps viper remote start alarm system. I was just wondering if I need any sort of bypass module for my car. Also is it difficult to install? Ive installed an alarm in my 93 civic and and older subaru but never in a newer car that has the immobilizer. Thanks.

Similar concept, yes you will need a bypass module. I have attached your wiring guide.

You will need to get something like the iDatalink ADS-ALCA and have it "flashed" with the appropriate firmware for your CRV. Same concept will apply to which ever brand bypass you go with.

Yes you need a bypass, the Fortin EVO-All is your best bet, it will control everything, and not that hard to install, here are the full instructions and programing for your CR-V...

which DEI unit do I need? I rather get a bypass where I don't need to leave a key in the car.

Thanks to all for the replies. MotoCARR they wiring is very helpful, thanks!

You do not need to leave a key in the car with the Fortin EVO-ALL. 94

Any recommendations as to where to buy the EVO-ALL online? I rather not have to buy the flash link updater and have it come with the correct firmware. Also is it recommended I buy a T-harness? I'm going to be installing the Clifford 5706X.

I can sell you the ADS-ALCA I mentioned above, and flash it with the correct firmware if you're still looking.

Thanks MotoCARR for the offer but I was able to buy a Fortin Evo-All locally. I finally got around to installing the Clifford 5706x took me a while since Id never install a remote start on a newer car that required a bypass but I got it working for the most part. It was a little confusing at first since I didn't realize that some wires from the remote start unit didn't need to be hooked up since the Fortin unit took care of those connections. I have a couple of questions:
1. Parking lights dont flash nor turn on when the car is remote started. I connected the white wire (Parking Light Output) from the main harness to the blue wire at the parking light harness.
2. I believe my 2010 Crv has a factory hood pin switch but I am unable to locate it. Wiring guide says dash fuse box, blue 21 pin plug but I dont see any blue plugs at the fuse box, unless its behind the fuse box?
3. Clifford unit has fuse that says + or - light flash polarity. No sure if I need to set it to + or -.
4. Not sure which wires need to be connected to car or Fortin unit from 24-pin connector since I believe Fortin unit takes care of most of them.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Blue wire for the parking lights located at the headlight switch is a negative trigger (-).

If you connected the parking light wire from the Clifford to this wire then the parking light jumper on the clifford unit needs to be set to negative (-)

Be sure to test the wire with a meter to verify.

Thanks, I'm going to check the jumper and make sure it's set to negative. Any help on my other questions would be appreciated. The car doesn't unlock with the Clifford remote so I think I'm going to connect the wires from the Clifford unit to the unlock wires, right now they are only connected to Fortin bypass.

The instructions for the Fortin unit that FCM posted state that the door lock/unlock wires are to be connected AFTER the programming procedure has been completed and the engine must also be running when the connections are made.
Is that how it was done?

The connections were made with the engine off. I just realized the small lettering. Thanks for pointing that out. I will reprogram it and then start the engine to make the connections. Any ideas on the factory hood pin switch?

Unfortunately I dont recall ever using the factory hood pin trigger on a CRV.

I would just install a hood pin switch and call it a day.
