Re: 00 integra custom audio build
my audio build will be running 1000 rms constant power or more while in use. i have found a 220 amp alternator as an upgrade would this be all i need or the cap and battery cell needed? please any input thank you

Never knew Pioneer had 3000w speakers.
Before you upgrade the alternator, I would upgrade the wires. A Big 3 upgrade would be good. If your alt can't handle the power then a quality HO alternator. You would need the bigger cables and the Big 3 would already be there.

Re: 00 integra custom audio build
i am going to be running 800 watts rms to 2 12"s and the interior say 200 watt rms or less. what would you suggest. a capaciter, battery cell, high output alternator what watt? what is needed to run this set up??

A cap is band aid. Period. it doesn't fix the issue, it hides it and ends up making the situation worse as it adds more to the draw on the charging system.
Do the big 3, get a quality battery and see where that leads you.
to be honest, my single amp pulls that or more and i don't have any issues, however I'm not beating the **** out of it 24/7.
You may end up needing/wanting a higher amp alt. I'd recommend starting with the cheaper stuff first and see what's up.
also those subs aren't 3000 watts. maybe 800-1000RMS.

Re: 00 integra custom audio build
What is the make and model of sub(s) you have, [3000w Pioneer speakers?
What amps are you getting, make and models?
What other speakers will you be using, makes and models?
Without that info, we can't make any proper suggestions. 94

Re: 00 integra custom audio build
i got the pioneer premier championship series 12's 3000 watt by 1000 watt rms 116 oz double stacked magnets. i currently have a 500 rms amp but need a higher wattage. i am going to running alpine tweeters with type s crossover for tweeters and door speakers. i have alpine speakers in whole interior (six speakers including tweeters) the interior is going to be hooked up to my bazooka 2.0 championship series 4 channel amp which puts out a max of 100-150 rms if that. the 3.5 speakers in interior are alpine SXE 0825S 150 watt

i got two differnt ones rated same i posted model number of other in previous post. this is what they have to say about the other priemr i got from pioneer website.
Stand back. The Premier TS-W3004SPL subwoofer is designed to produce enormously powerful music. Just take a look at its super-heavy-duty construction, all designed to handle up to 3,000 watts max. The titanium voice coil bobbin. The ceramic-coated voice coil wire. Double-stacked magnets for higher power, and a step-up radial surround for superior control and long excursions. We used an aluminum heat sink and even constructed a cast-aluminum basket for this sub. Add in our patented IMPP cone and you've got a monster sub that can handle whatever you want to throw at it — including Pioneer's new breed of SPL amplifiers like the PRS-D3000SPL.

Re: 00 integra custom audio build
Wire sub V/Cs in series, for an 8ohm load, then wire the subs in parallel for a 4ohm final load, find an amp that makes about 2000W RMS into a 4ohm load sub box should be 1.5CF net. the box must be solid as hell, min. 3/4" MDF with a 1" face, lots of bracing, and seal the MDF, on inside, using wood sealer or fiberglass resin.
500W will be enough for the rest of the system. 94
PS, in my opinion one of those subs is more then enough, more so if your Teg is a hatch

Re: 00 integra custom audio build
It will not, if the 4 ohm VCs are wired in series that will be an 8 ohm load and then if you wire the subs in parallel the load will be 4 ohms, or you can wire the VCs in parallel to a 2 ohm load then the subs in series it's back to a 4ohm load, I would not go below 4 ohms as it has a detrimental effect on SQ and the amp must work harder. 94

Re: 00 integra custom audio build
OP...it's seems like you already made up your mind how you want to wire/build your audio system. 1 ohm...try it and see how long it lasts. I am not trying to be a jerk but I believe you have gotten a few good "build tips".
