SoHonda Garage. Mugen Si Build
I've been meaning to do this for over a year, and have finally gotten around to it now. I bought my Mugen Si with 10k Miles in july 2009. You may remember my Dap ek and or my silver fit. Out of all the cars I've owned this is one I've done the least to, for two reasons, its so good right out of the box and my time is very limited. This will be a slow process, but the goal and theme of this car is to retain the spirit that is "honda/mugen" that is, a car that is at home on the circuit that brings a smile to the driver. I am not concerned with all out max speed and lowest lap times, but rather improving the driving experience, with improving lap times a secondary outcome.
Ill post all the previous pictures from when I bought the car to now, and then update from here on out!
Previous cars...
the DAP
the Fit
First week of ownership
Took some pics with my buddies EP
ordered some mugen goodies
Some from in the shop
Since trying to find a authentic mugen RR rain light seemed to be impossible to find, I decided to build my own.
Finished!
Put my car up on the dyno
Fabbed up a throttle pedal, better for heel-toe
Got the mugen in to install the tow hooks,
The mods needed to fit them
Pic with some of the fleet
needed a car to run around in up at NHMS so in the hauler it went!
Shots at NHMS
Finally hit the track at Monticello Motor Club!

Re: SoHonda Garage. Mugen Si Build
Thanks guys, this wont be as an intensive build ours from previous years, but it will still be plenty of SHG fabrication if not more so then in the past, along with some well thought out parts here and there.

Meh to each his own i suppose. I loved that car and didnt want to get rid of it, and wouldnt have if I didnt get such a good deal on this car. It may have not been as popular of a car or fast in a straight line, it had so much more character and just as much fun to drive. It was a perfect daily and perfect for that part in my life.

They dont clear the wheels and the bleeders are upside down since theyre designed to be mounted on the back side of the rotor (DC5) meaning you would have to bleed them off the car. But I think the biggest issue was clearance.

Thanks man, you had the teal hatch right? That thing was so legit and modified in the perfect way.

Lol half of those are mine... we just went to get them mounted at the same time. What a disaster. Never go to Imperial Ford in MA to get ANYTHING done. Thankfully they didnt damage any wheels but just about everything else that could have gone wrong, did.

subscribed. these newer si's are great. they are solid performers out the box, and with only a few mods, they are very fun. good luck with this project
