Big update! I originally bought a quart of SSM for my engine bay but decided to do a color change on everything, starting with the bay. Here is the color...
...the name of the color is "Blue Raspberry Metallic" off the 2012-13 Fit.

Update time. I finally got my friend's ALL IN Fab V/C mounted catch can & shaved V/C for his EJ8 today. Before I hand it over to him, I will test fit it on my car for measuring purposes. That way, Derek @ ALL IN can whip out a similar setup that will fit my chassis perfectly.

This will be my last update until I get back from the mainland. I had my fab guy weld all the unused holes in my engine bay shut. Sprayed a little self-etch primer to keep the exposed metal from rusting until I can work on it again.

Updates have been lacking, amirite? Well, before I post any build updates, I want to share a few pics of when I met up with the SoHonda Garage crew and the guys at Autofair Honda last month.
These next 2 cars are only a handful of cars I look toward to for inspiration. The workmanship in these 2 cars is impeccable. What you see in these pics looks just as good, if not better in-person. Not something you can say for many builds you end up seeing in-person. Keep up the good work guys!
Evan's EP3
SHG DC5
Before lunch, Evan took me to his workplace, Flatout Motorsports, to see some of the cars they were building.
Group pic of the crew before I crashed for the night (thanks again for the room, Evan).
Now let's go to Autofair Honda.
OEM Honda parts everywhere!
Talking story for a bit, with a pile of can juice on the floor & treats behind Ryan which I brought as a "care package" with stuff you only can get in Hawaii. Hope you guys enjoyed it.
Pic with Colin & Ryan before I left.
Now, onto the build updates. While I was at AFH, I picked up a bunch of parts for the build. I also got a SHG rear tow loop courtesy of Evan. Thanks again homie!
Installed the tow loop a week after I got back.
Finally got my Hybrid Racing shifter that I pre-ordered back in February earlier this month along with a set of their cables.
I also got my JDM ES2 headlights a few days ago. It's the last known BNIB set in the US.
For those of you wondering, this is why I got another set.
I personally sold & installed my S2K retrofitted set to Shawn Griffin (katzenjammer84) when I visited AFH. Take good care of them homie!

Just when I thought things couldnt get anymore amazing you fly across the country and make it happen! BNIB is always hard to open for me, I couldn't imagine if it was the last one.

Finally had a chance to have a read. Great build James! You do pretty legit work, very similar style of documentation to Evan as well. I'm influenced to to invest in a camera a little more now haha. Welcome to the club and keep up the good work!

Photos came out legit James! Might have to steal some for our website! Can you hit me up with full res? Sohondagarage@yahoo.com
Progress is looking nice too, what color are you planning on painting the hook?

Got some work done to the engine bay these past few nights. I removed the sloppy seam sealer and stripped it down to bare metal. Hopefully I can begin the filler work tomorrow and have the epoxy & surfacer sprayed on by Sunday. If all goes well, she will have color by Tuesday.

Big update. I finally finished the work on my engine bay! This is how my weekend went.
Filler work where needed.

Epoxy & surfacer finished.
Surfacer sanded smooth and self leveling seam sealer applied where needed.

Clear finished, the final outcome.
