Haha sound clips tomorrow night hopefully. I still have to extend my secondary 02 for the RSX cat.

Ok so Im sure alot of you know Skunk 2's reputation for control arm bushings tearing out in no time. Im not sure if this will fix the issue 100%, or if other chassis have the same issue but here is what I found....
So when the control arm is placed in the frame there is about a 1/8" gap between the bushing and frame. So when you try to torque the bolt down in will pinch and bend the frame before tightening against the arm.
.
.
Then, once it is tight, the frame will be squeezing the bushing itself (which is supposed to stay stationary in the arm) instead of the dowel in the middle. This will cause all kinds of binding and tearing forces on the bushing.
The dowels used are too narrow as you can see here:
.
.
Solution: A wider dowel that will allow the bolt to be properly torqued aswell as give the bushing some extra room to rotate and twist freely. I used the center dowels from the OEM bushings and had them turned down to the same OD as the skunk 2 dowels. The indents will allow extra room for the bushing to twist under compression.
.
.
Also, I started working on my battery holder. I got the tray, frame rail mount, and tie down fabbed up. Now I need to do some welding! I think Im going to use this tie down instead of the Skunk 2 piece because it will go better with the rest of the holder. What do you guys think?

Great build man! I hope my 02 EP can look as clean as yours. Hey question. Where can i find a set of the DC5R lower controls arms? I've been looking everywhere.

Well the ITR arms are the aluminum ones. All year Type S arms are steel. ITR arms are also 15mm wider on each side. The balljoint hole in them is also larger so you either need to run King Motorsports ball joint adapters or 05-06 Type S balljoints.
