Yeah their site is just BS. If you call them or hitthem up on facebook you can still order parts. I am actually talking tothem now about a replacement cove for my 68. They have a new design prototype that's got alcantara and red stitching

Awesome car. Don't see too many newer cars done up extensively.
Very classy!
This forum seems to have a high caliber of rides. I've got a lot of ground to cover still, lol.

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
I was looking at finally upgrading my ep3's suspension and I figured I would talk to you about what im looking for since I have the exact same tires/rims setup as yourself.
I was looking at this current setup and dont want to spend no more than 2000$ for the setup..
Bilstein valved shocks with custom springs
Current Tire setup (Front 17x9+35 - 245/40/17) (Rear 17x7.5+48 - 225/45/17) Dunlop Star specs (RPF1) same as yours
What tuning numbers I was looking at...
400 lbs front (15mm sway em2 sway)
700 lbs rear (27mm hotckins sway)
What numbers I heard you can run properly on a ep3...
500 lbs front (no sway)
850 lbs rear (16mm sway)
Differences? Recommendations? before I finally settle on a purchase?
It is a DD car and I go to the track once a month. Stored during winter for the next couple of years. I also take the car camping up north 6 hours drives car filled with stuff. Dunno if this will hinder the outcome but your thoughts would really help out. Thx man.
BTW Awesome tire/rim setup. Could not be any more happier with the way it works with the car

I also noticed alot of people not running front sways on the ep, whats the beef with sway bars.. Oversteer, I'm assuming, but I never had the wheels to where I couldnt bring the wheel back around...

I definitely would NOT run this setup without a front sway, or run softer than this for any kind of track use. The front of the car feels really sloppy and dives like crazy without that front sway.
My new setup is 650f 1000r but I havent had a chance to drive it yet since Im still waiting on my rear shocks to come back from rebuilding.
The best compromise between a street and track setup is 500f 750+r, EM2 front sway and TypeS rear sway. Thats my reccomendation, I think if you use that as a guideline you will be very happy with the results
Well the idea is that a swaybar on the drive wheels will limit traction since when the car rolls it is lifting the inside wheel. This is a true fact, but in order to not run a sway bar your spring rates have to be stiff enough to limit body roll without the aid of the sway bar. Thats what makes swaybars useful for cars that are still driven on the street that cant run the stiff rates needed to limit body roll.

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
So guys I got a little insight on my rear shock situation yesterday. Me and the GF went to the Grand Am race at Limerock and AST had their truck there along with Brian (president of AST) and Pete (rep for Aragosta from Holland). Turns out my shocks are a funky old Aragosta setup and they have tried all their "stock" parts as replacements and none have been the right dimensions. Now they are working on fabricating new bodies and internals from scratch, or another option is I upgrade to brand new updated rear shocks to replace the pesky old ones. Im getting a call on monday to talk details, so fingers crossed

Anything wrong with using a 27mm sway on the 750 rear?
As well helper springs? where would they be included here? Do I need them, or only for the front?
Much thx

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
Nothing wrong with the 27mm sway, just not sure if its necessary or not. Its all up to user preference and what the car is used for.
Helper springs are to keep the spring against the top hat at full suspension droop, say when you jack the car off the ground, or lift an inside rear wheel at the track or autocross. If you have a setup like say buddy club, there are separate height and preload adjustments. That means you dont have to use the spring perch to raise or lower the car.
Most coilovers are not built this way though, and require the actual spring and perch to be raised and lowered to adjust ride height, like mine. So if you want a low ride height, and your shocks are a bit too long, the spring will flop around at full droop. A helper spring is installed to keep that spring tight, but when the car is put back on the ground the helper fully compresses and is now basically just part of the perch.
It can be kind of confusing without a visual. Try googling it and see if you can find some video clips or animations.

a nice addition to the exterior of your car would be the
stock 04-05 sideskirts
ctr sideskirts would be ok too but i'm not a fan of them too much
imo sideskirts complete the look
so the car doesnt look so van-ish

Yeah they clear the spokes fine, but its def close to the inside of the barrel. I had to machine a bit off the corners of the calipers to get a little extra clearance...
Yeah I think Buddy Club skirts are in the far distant future. Motor and transmission build comes before exterior mods

Exhaust came in yesterday
Quality and craftsmanship on these is so awesome. The system is all slip joints and also uses hollow hangers to also shed some weight. Total weight @ 19lbs
