Suspension coming together a bit more this weekend... I got my Delrin bushings back from the machine shop yesterday
.
.
Here are the poly bushings installed in the lower pivots
.
.
Installed and no bind!
.
.
I also installed some new Hardrace boots on the roll center adjusters. First cleaned out all the old grease and repacked them with Redline grease.
.
.
Then took it one step further and covered the boots with heat protective sleeve to shield the boots from brake heat
.
.
Last but not least for this installment I assembled the rotors with fresh plated hardware

Nah, I picked up the energy stuff and used delrin for the parts it didnt come with as a band aid for now. What the rear suspension really needs is sphericals. With the way it moves through its stroke if it were all delrin it would bind like crazy. Im hoping to have sphericals throughout for next year.

Haven't seen the heat shielding on the lower ball joint for quite some time! I always thought it would be better for debris as heat transfer should still come through the assembly not just the ambient air.
As always, kudos for an amazing project!

Thanks man, the heat affecte zone on the boot is definitely directly related to radiant heat from high rotor temperature. The outside of the boot that faces the rotor gets crispy and cracks, while the rest of the boot is still supple. I've had this happen on my car aswell as our grand am mx5. Hopefully the heat sleeve will solve it

yikes! as mentioned a hundred time the attention to detail is what really makes this build as epic as it is.

Got the steering rack all done last night. Ive been working on it on and off the last couple weeks and not that I have the hardware I put it back together and decided to take the opportunity to reset the gear clearance.
.
.
Here is the guide screw, tension spring, and locknut disassembled for cleaning before resetting the tesion.
.
.
And the seat all cleaned up ready for re assembly
.
.
Set the tension and put it all back together. I wish I had though to take this apart and get it plated before but owell.
.
.
And here is the rack completed. Bolts are marked with paint after being torqued to oem specs

^ its to raise up the tie rods to help prevent binding. I think you should manufacture them, you could probably get a good interest for them.

There is already someone who makes them from scratch with a CNC mill. It wouldnt be worth it for me to steal his business with a product that isnt quite as nice.
