Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
So as in tonight I meant three days
Anyway, it gave me a chance to let this package come in... Finally have a 15/16 DC5 master cylinder and prop valve. Ill install these when I do the swap which hopefully be in by May
.
.
Also finally got my mainshaft holder tool and assortment of countershaft shims in, so as soon as I finish some current projects I can finish building my gearbox!
.
.
Last but not least Mike and I spent some time designing and cutting a mask for my fuel rail "lid". I had come up with this idea quite some time ago, and with Mikes skills on Illustrator we were able to get the font perfect, exactly as I had pictured it
.
.
And BLAM! Bead blasted Pure Honda Sports logo in ya face!

Yeah that logo looks sick. Was that done on the actual fuel rail itself or is that a separate strip of metal that attached over top of the rail?

Thanks guys!
It's a separate part, the AEM rail has channels in the top to route/hide the harness and then the lid screws on to cover it

Hopefully... We're in the process of getting an FRS to run in ST, but if we do it will probably be for 2014. We might make it out in the Mx5 a couple times if we can find someone to pay for the second seat.
They're DC5 spec

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
Hey guys! Been making moves with the EP3... Sold the Enkeis last week and put the order in for the new wheels!! They should be arriving in about 3 weeks... so excited!
In the mean time since there is nothing to post about the EP3 Ill share some photos I took while doing some maintenance on the CR-V!
I did some much needed things on the car since I hadnt changed any fluids since I got it a month ago. I picked up all new fluids, s2000 oil filter, AC belt tensioner, a rear shock cover that was missing, and some other random clips and covers that were missing when I got the car.
I did the Honda TSB rear diff burnish procedure which reconditions the clutch packs in the rear diff since I was getting some noise. Also drained, filled, and flushed the trans as the fluid was super dark and had probably never been changed. A standard oil change with some Mobil 1 and S2000 filter was also on the list
.
.
I knew the car was pretty clean underneath after looking at it briefly when I bought it but after getting it on the lift Im really amazed at how clean it is considering its a NE car
.
.
I also picked up a 5th RSX wheel and put a Honda center cap on it. I rapped it in a Kumho Ecsta all season in a beefy 225/55/16 size. Ill be getting four more for summer tires this year
.
.
And here she is all done, still dirty but all cought up on maintenance

Looks so damb good! Even though it was a lot of work, it was worth it! I need to get the build moving and rock one at the track!
