I'd love to put a BYS bumper on someday. I want to do some other things before I even think of that though. I always thought BYS bumpers looked weird without an intercooler behind them...

Re: North Dakota EBP EM1 Build!!!!
It's been a while, haven't done a whole lot to the car. I've only put about 50 miles on it since doing the 5 lug and it's been weeks. I've been working a lot and the weather has been pretty shitty. But we finally had a good day and I had some stuff that needed to be done so I'll update now.
Ever since I bought the car last year, there's been this weird clunking sound coming from the front end somewhere. I replaced both axles, but still the noise was there. I noticed it happened in reverse and while downshifting. Well, I jacked up the car one day to investigate, and noticed the DC header was smashed on the bottom. Like, crushed. I figured the noise had to have been the header hitting the oil pan because it was so damn bent and destroyed.
So I took it off and snapped a pic:
Luckily, I had the stock exhaust manifold so I put it on. Clunking sound....was gone. But the shitty part was that the aftermarket cat had a larger inlet to fit the collector on the DC header. Needless to say, it did not bolt up to the stock header. I drove it back to storage open header like a champ.
Ordered a cheap ebay test pipe. $30 later:
Car's exhaust is kinda sketchy, all one piece from the header flange back. Someday I'll fix all that and put some nice exhaust on it, but for now this works. I ordered some fresh Honda spring bolts and had a friend weld the test pipe in.
It's not ideal but it'll work for now.
After driving with the 5 lug for awhile now, I suspect a bad driver's front wheel bearing. Ordered a USDM ITR wheel bearing hoping it's compatible with the CTR 5 lug.
Wheel back off:
My shop dog decided to come out and enjoy the nice weather...
Got the knuckle off, ready to get the new bearing pressed in.
Shop dog got hot and moved to some shade.
Tomorrow I will take the knuckle in and get the new bearing pressed in. Hopefully after that I can get some more exterior photos to post up.
Oh, and the gf got me a pretty awesome birthday present...
Thanks for looking! I'll try to update some more tomorrow night.

When is the noise apparent. scraping/roaring/grinding noise?, Just while cruising?accel?braking? Possibly the shims on the caliper(hardware) between where the pad mounts and the caliper. This happen to my 99 si while cruising/and slight brake application, kept making a small grinding noise. I ended up replacing the hardware/slider pins on both front calipers fixed the issue.

Haha. Honda did the wheel bearing for me. Charged me $30. Not too bad. Shitty thing is, it didn't fix the noise I had. Must not have been the bearing. I think I either have some thing stuck in my brake pads or the caliper itself is sticking. This weekend I plan to take apart the brakes again and really clean off the pads...if that doesn't help, I'll order a caliper rebuild kit.

Re: North Dakota EBP EM1 Build!!!!
The 5 lug itself was about $1200. Wheels were $800 and about $400 for the tires. The rotors, pads, and SS brake lines were around $500. So...a lot.
I ordered caliper rebuild kits from acura for the front. Hopefully that fixes the annoying scraping sound. I don't know what else it could be. Also, I have a wheel alignment tomorrow.

The noise is only while moving without the brakes on. The instant I hit the brakes, noise goes away. I took apart the caliper and greased the slide pins...didn't help. Hopefully the rebuild kit helps. We'll see.

Re: North Dakota EBP EM1 Build!!!!
Maybe the pads/rotors. Not saying there cheap or crap, but if the pads are more metallic rather than organic or ceramic. Maybe causing a slight noise when pad is not applied and skimming the rotor(no pressure applied on the pads). Try different pads without changing anything else on the brake/knuckle assembly. See if it changes, if not try another aspect

Re: North Dakota EBP EM1 Build!!!!
Well, thought I'd post a little update since it's been awhile. Haven't drivin the Si much due to it being stored so far from my house, combined with my work schedule. I've put 300 miles on it this summer...bummer. But I did manage to snap a few pics last week. No new parts or anything, same as before. I will hopefully be putting the Monte Carlo on soon. Anyways, here's some pics:
