My "No girlfriend, EK build"

Re: My "No girlfriend, EK build"
I know this isn't just a shell and a hair more than the 1200 you mentioned that you wanted to sell but seems to be worth a look. You could sell off whats not needed in your build to make up for paying a little more. Just my $.02 worth.

Re: My "No girlfriend, EK build"
Hey guys a little update!! My pinch weld cutter came in! Now i just have to wait for the clip to arrive.
I also picked up the heart for this thing. Over the past 6 months ive been building a d16 and just collecting parts well i finally had it about 90% done and a deal popped up. the d16 had
z6 block
stock crank
Ycp vitara pistons
Eagle rods
ARP headstuds and rod cap bolts
Supertech block guard
Kings race bearings
Gates racing timing belt
New oem oil pump
New water pump
y8 head
Crower valvetrain
Crower stage 2 turbo cams
edlebrock cam gear
ported
Head milled
Honda oem gasket
Mugen rep valve cover
skunk2 throttle body
i had also acquired a God speed turbo kit. my buddy wanted the turbo so i replaced the Godspeed with a CX racing turbo 50 trim.
I still needed a ecu and better mounts and stronger axles but that was in time.
Well i was on craigslist and i found a guy with a k20a2 motor and 6 speed trans for sale. For some reason something told me to offer him the d series for it... and he took it... so i ended up giving him my d16 and turbo stuff for the a k20a2 and trans, ecu, shifter plate, and shifter cables. The k20 is pretty clean and the head is clean. No sludge or anything. I don't have pictures but ill take some tonight. I felt bad about giving up the d series because i built it, but i wanted safe reliable power(and Ive always wanted to go k)
Heres what it looked like.

Re: My "No girlfriend, EK build"
Hey guys. It been a while since i was able to do any work on the civic. I got diagnosed with Crohns and had to have surgery. But anyway i finally started doing work on the car again. i have the car sitting where i can work on it now and was able to remove the front steering rack off and put the car on a dolly. I also drilled out a good amount of spot welds, but i ended up breaking the pilot bit i have to order more. Ill snap some more pictures tomorrow.

Re: My "No girlfriend, EK build"
If you are swapping a K-series, I'd think about an EG subframe and EKK2 mounts. It will get the motor closer to center of chassis and give you more room at the radiator support. A RBC IM with EK subframe is too close to the radiator for my tastes but will work.
Good luck on the chassis....it's been abused.
