My name is Rocky, this is my EK.
Ive always wanted to do a build but never had the funds or time. Ive been a Honda head since the 90's, I've owned 2 crx's, 2 ef hatchs and now 2 ek hatchs, but never had the time or money to do a proper build. Well this is it. Hope you enjoy it. She's a 1 owner (literally a little old lady) from Phoenix, that was serviced by the same Honds dealer with Honds genuine parts it's entire life. 120k on the clock, 100% bone stock, rust free, with working a/c and p/s. I've dealt with fixing somebody else's badly modified cars in the past and wanted to start with a clean slate. Thanks for checking it out and lmk what you think.
These are from my trip from Houston to Phoenix to pick it up

Re: My name is Rocky this is my EK.
Stage One: suspension, brakes.
My goal is tighten up the suspension and improve handling. Without sacrificing ride quality or increasing NVH too much.
My car has a few problems being that it's 19 years old. There is a jacked up tie rod, and old brakes that are both causing the front end to shudder under braking, and the shifter moves a significant amount under any acceleration, which in turn means the engine is moving a significant amount. All no bueno. I plan on fixing all these issues and updating the chassis with this first round of upgrades.
Courtesy of the guys at JHPUSA. These guys are awesome they were able to change my order and refund my money after I changed my mind last minute great customer service. I highly recommend.
Hardrace front LCA bushings, front compliance bushings, rear LCA's.
Hasport 62a billet torque mounts
Energy suspension shifter bushings
Honda brake fluid

Re: My name is Rocky this is my EK.
Stage One: suspension, brakes:
More Parts:
powerstop oem front rotors and ceramic pads
rear generic Amazon drums and shoe was going to do a scare bird read disc swap, but I got these for free so I'm going them since I don't plan on making more power for a while.
detroit axles front suspension kit. (only keeping tie rods, since I didn't know the front adjustable camber kits, and roll center adjusters replace these)
My brake tools came in the mail, and I finally have some time this weekend to work on the car. I'll be doing the brakes, and trying to knock out the torque mounts, shifter bushings, and rear lca's. Wish me luck.

Re: My name is Rocky this is my EK.
I bought one of those and a set of black jdm headlights from eBay as my first two mods a year ago when I bought the car. I've decided to go back to restore my stock parts and put them back on. Didn't like the quality and fit of them. Thanks though.

I hear ya bro. I meant no disrespect. I didn't explain myself properly I don't like the look of the type R grill. I'll admit the fitment of eBay **** was pretty bad. But really just like my old grill. After I restored it. Now if you have oem ctr headlights. I'm your guy been looking for a set of those .

Where did you find that. I live in Phoenix and have been looking for a year since my mint 1 owner in the wrapper EK hatch was wrecked by some bitch texting on her phone. Do you also mind telling us what you paid for it and is it a manual also? Break my heart Rocky....lol
