Re: My name is Rocky this is my EK.
Did the front/ rear brakes, hasport 62a torque mounts, energy suspension shifter bushings, and had a shop do my tie rods and 4 wheel alignment.
The car feels great no more shuddering under braking and at freeway speeds. Turn in is way better with the new tie rods. I was pleasantly surprised, as I didn't think they would make a big difference. The car feels more planted up front and I can take my favorite mourning freeway interchange turn at a much more stable and controlled speed.
The brakes work great. Now that they are adjusted correctly. I went for a test drive after everything was done, and the drums felt really tight. I have a 100 mile round trip commute to work and didn't feel comfortable driving with them being so tight. So I took off Monday to go to my mechanic and have him just check them out and adjust them if necessary. Turns out there were some couple things installed wrong, but he also turned down the drums a few thou, to give the shoes some extra clearance. Apparently shoes can be too big from the manufacturer and the drums need to be turned down for a proper fit. Pretty sure Honda oem parts wouldn't have this problem. On the other hand the power stop pads and rotors went in fairly easily and are performing nicely. In hindsight I wouldn't have messed with the drums, and would recommend just saving up for a rear disc conversion. Or buy better parts then I did. Oh well live and learn.
Now to the energy suspension bushings they were a bit of a pain to install cause I didn't want to drop the exhaust. I managed to get around everything and pop them in. I must say wow what a difference, these are awesome. Shifts are super crisp and feel great. Still running the stock shifter. This could also be the hasport torque mounts in conjunction with these but it seriously updated the feel of the shifter.
The hasport mounts were probably the most pain in the *** install of the weekend. Since these are designed for the 94-01 Integra you have to modify your chassis for then to fit eg a and ek civics by drilling out the spot welds on the bracket that holds your stock mounts in place. I used a 1/4 drill bit to drill them out, if I was to do it again use at least a 3/8ths or bigger drill bit. One the brackets are out you just grind everything smooth and install the hasport with the new supplied hardware. All I have to say it WOW motor is super stiff now. So much so that I'm considering going back to stock style. I am going to replace my other 3 mounts with stock replacement mounts and see if that calms down the vibrations. I suspect that if my torque mounts were trashed then my rear mount is trashed. I will updated when I get the new mounts installed.
Pics.
Painted with some Ford duplicolor that was as close that AutoZone had in stock. Amazon sells Milano red I don't think they have roma.i didn't care since nobody's gonna see it anyways.
Grind smooth and prime.
This is the bracket you drill the two spot welds next to the two bolt holes
Drivers was already torn, and I ripped the other out cause it was a bitch to take out.

Re: My name is Rocky this is my EK.
Most likely pretty toasty. I would say my shifter moved a good 2-3 inches under acceleration. I was having trouble going into gear mostly first and reverse. I even changed my tranny fluid to try and fix it. All along it was the mounts causing a misalignment with my shifter linkage. Now it shifts like brand new and now more movement as well. Lots of vibration with the hasports I'm pretty sure that's because of the force being directed at the other three mounts that are likely also fried. I've broken axles before from bad mounts, so I made sure to address it.

Russell stainless brake lines.
Magnaflow muffler I used for a week until I got my vibrant muffler. I will be reusing it as a resonator in my custom 2.5" catback.

Yessir. They guy I bought it from says it's from HMO with only 11k on it, but he couldn't find the paperwork so idk. He also said the tranny is 4.4 FD which is wierd since I thought 98 spec came with 4.7 FD . Anyway I got it for cheap so I'm happy either way.

Re: My name is Rocky this is my EK.
yea 98+ was 4.7 but after 20 years I could see a motor and trans getting mismatched by now. Does the tranny case say anything? I think 98+ is like NP3R or something close to that and I forgot the 4.4 one

Jealous, I'd love to swap some kind of DOHC came into mine. Thinking I may just turbo the single dingle...200whp isn't too hard to obtain that way.

Yeah man I was gonna turbo my d. Still might and throw the type r in a crx or eg. I plan on boosting either way. I drove my friends b16 turbo back in the day it was a beast. I'm a welder so I'm gonna build my manifold down pipe and exhaust and intercooler piping. Basically reliving my high school years right now lol .
