i would have more done but the shipping company lost all my paint supplys.... further progress is at a stop until the painting is done before i begin to assemble the rest of the car. =( no sense in throwing suspension, interior, and other items on and risk getting overspray on brand new parts.

Re: my little sfwd civic build. slow but not really.
still no paint. "he forgot to ship it until today". anyways. no need to waste precios time, got started on something else
first off, i would like to thank tcc coatings over there in texas. they took care of me on all my powdercoating/heat coatings for a very reasonable rate. had the highet customer service i've seen in a while.
so i bought a edelbrock victor x manifold a while back. it was used but i picked it up for 100 bucks. sent to get it coated and started doing this.
2200cc injectors, check, spray painted fuel rail, check, edelbrock 70mm throttle body/adapter check, port matched opening, check.
somewhere along the lines of doing this... i may or may not have installed a 120shot of blow underneath the manifold and installed my nitrous setup underneath my dash.lol you may suspect this is cheating, i call it winning.
little hint for you guys, if you do not know how to drill and tap properly, let someone else do it.(this was my flaw, thank goodness i was able to fix it though)

long awaited for me right here. this bay has been kicking my butt.
sealer got dropped
my painter actually did a basecoat selfie.
finished product.
pictures cant really do it justice. its 20x more amazing in person. now on to the rest of the car(easy at this point) bay paint/clear was done with a spot gun. no runs/fisheye in sight.

Re: my little sfwd civic build. slow but not really.
havent updated in a while so here i go.
took me buddy months to paint it(free i guess)
installed a kill switch and remote terminals while i was at it.
wham bam thank you mam.
while the paint was drying, i decided to build my trans.
specs are:
gsr gear set
carbon syncros
quaife differential
speed factory shift selector
cnc design 5th gear cuff
reinforced shift rods
first trip home in a long time. lot of work to go!
while i was installing my suspension, i decided to redo my braking system and change out all the bushings.
rear suspension consists of:
blox drag coilovers
asr subframe brace
bobo control arms
bobo camber kit lol
new drum setup.

Re: my little sfwd civic build. slow but not really.
during the whole ordeal, belaks seems to be the hott thing, and honestly i got them, i see why. things are SEXY.
13x9 beadlocked
15x4.5
i needed radials for the dyno, so i conjured up some nice used spinwerks 15x8
m/t 24/4.5/15 skinni tires and m/t 225/50/15 et street radials
i am waiting on my m&h 24.5/9/13 slicks now and tubes for the front belak.
onto other random pictures.
bay shot before engine gets in.
next picture session is me getting my interior back together and everything wired up
and lastly, side shot.
ill try to keep this updated while im working on it.

i hope this thread goes to show, you dont have to go to a shop and spend thousands on labor to make a nice/fast car. a little knowledge and patience goes a long way.

Re: my little sfwd civic build. slow but not really.
had an issue with head/block seal.. so back apart again!
got everything wired up, test started.and washed up hitting the alignment shop in the morning and off to the rollers to break the engine in. after that who knows. ive got 20 gallons of q16 on deck if i feel a little antsy.
good friends helpin out with the car.
