Just another build thread 2000 coupe ex
what’s up guys I’m pretty new here on Honda tech
been building and restoring hot rods and classic cars for about 8 years now. I’m a Los Angeles local. Haven’t had a owned a personal car since 2011. Have had mostly Honda motorcycles as daily drivers and track bikes.
Well I just recently bought a 2000 civic coupe ex. Bought it from the original owner.
I started a build thread in the tech forum (which I guess isn’t the place for that lol) so now here I am in the build thread section starting over😑
any way since buying the car ive done the obvious comforts like tint and a nice stereo system. In the last week I’ve started the suspension upgrades. Wheels, tires, coilovers, suspension components.
So this is the whip the day after I bought it
The chassis is pretty clean a few dents and scratches but that’s expected with a 18year old car.
Those is the way it looks currently
so far I’ve installed
Rota grid V 16x8 +20offset
dressed with 205/45/16 Yokohama S.drive tires
got weather tech window visors
pioneer stereo system with JL w3 subwoofer
sparco 325R suede steering wheel
parts on the way in in the next few days are my
ground control special purpose coilovers
my kTuned control arms and adjustable toe bars
I’m loving this wheel 3inch depth
I received these today at work
Really nice machining
soo yeah this is my build so far
cheers yall

GC's, niceeee. Car looks clean but that bike caught my eye more! I've been wanting to buy the new CBR1000RR SP but I can't justify spending the price of a car for a bike :p I'm digging the CF fairings. Also, are you running race tires on the street?

yeah I run slicks year round. out here in LA it doesn’t take much to keep the heat in them. I usually go with the softer compounds so they heat up quicker. It’s about 150$ for a set of take offs from the racers so I can buy two sets of slicks for the price of one set of new Q3s
