Haha alright then yea I'll definitely borrow it
I'll just shoot you a message when it comes to be that time. Not sure when I'll get to them. Have so much more to do lol. Didn't mention it in the above post but I'm also replacing the radiator support and painting the bay!

Ohhhh, that'll be cool. I haven't actually used it yet, but they're supposed to be super handy. I'm in the same boat, with a ton of **** to do. Building a car and planning a wedding definitely do NOT go hand in hand lol.

So my photo limit for the site has been reached...let me know if you guys can't see them. The only way I got the photos working was by uploading photos from Imgur to an album.
Anyway, here are some photos of the goodies! Like I said before, kit was going to come from GoAutoworks, some fancy shots below.
These photos are of the motor back together. Replaced headgasket, all seals, ARP headstuds, Gates "Racing" belt (Sick blue swag), and OEM replacement tensioner/water pump.
Valve cover was shaved and painted yellow. It doesn't look as neon in person, the flash from my phone doesn't do much for the paint color. Block has also been painted to clean it up a little.
Engine bay is basically ready for primer and paint. Just still need to weld on the new lower portion of my core support. The other one was rusted way out. 5 minutes with a drill at a junkyard and we found one in great shape to throw on my car. Our Weld-thru primer spray can lost all pressure, so need to pick up some more before we can finish it up, but here is a photo of it test fitted.
Also picked up this sweet Emerald Jade LS400
It had a few issues that were understated (IMO) by the previous owner, but after replacing a basically plastic power steering hose, capping off the power steering air check valve and now it finally no longer leaks or burns power steering fluid (Was losing a quart within 3-4 days)
Also replaced the transmission mount, it was causing lots of vibration and rough shifting issues. Lastly, I picked up a used cluster as my current one has about 100 problems that would cost about 600-700 dollars to fix. New cluster is pretty damn close to original, and all gauges read properly.
More to come soon! Engine bay should be painted within a week or two, and then I can start putting it all back together. My transmission had two bad bearings in it when my buddies shop took it apart, so that's currently getting repaired. Will hopefully have that soon too.
I also still need my ECU and a few radiator bits. Will likely be buying Goautoworks' radiator and freeze plug -6an adapter so I can run my coolant lines for the turbo. Anyway, more to come!

Bit of a wait on my transmission, so not too much going on.
Here are some photos of a fitment test with the turbo. Got some bits ceramic coated, hopefully more progress soon.
Also a full shot of the bay.

Thank you! I love it too. Can't wait to have it together.
Forgot to mention I picked up goautoworks 3 core radiator, also grabbed some foil tape and aluminum sheeting to shroud everything as well.
Still not sure whether or not I'll ceramic coat or wrap the downpipe/dump tube or do both?

More updates in my turbo build thread!
Build Thread
But here is the gist..
Everything back together for the most part, I'm putting it back together stock first to go finish emissions.
Plans are to run 2.5" all the way back.

It's not terrible, but not as good as it was. The car got left outside for a couple rainy weeks and that's when I actively saw it get worse.
Keep in mind, this is an air dried ceramic coating, instead of the baked dried, which I'm told is stronger/last longer. This setup has also seen a couple track days, so things have gotten hot.

Re: Jergel's EJ6 Hatchback - Autocross/Daily
After several track days, I've out grown my HP+ pads that served me well as a strong autocross/daily/beginner track pad. While at Atlanta Motorsports Park I experienced brake fade throughout the day and eventually went off track slowing down from the fastest portion of the course. Car is fine, just a little bit of sand in the engine bay was all that happened!
But this lead me to look into brake upgrades. After some research, I decided to go with Wilwood's DPHA brake kit w/ some Hawk DTC-60 pads. Not super thrilled about the drilled rotors, but this was all that was in stock. I'll probably be buying some blanks in case these crack.
If you don't already know, this upgrade (for a cx hatchback) requires you to also upgrade to the larger EX/SI/Integra knuckles. I opted for the EX/SI knuckle as they are slightly shorter and do not mess with your camber adjustment. At this point, I also upgraded my lower control arms to a Hardrace arm with their hard rubber bushings. Also replaced front bearings/hubs/ball joints while I had everything a part.
test fit! Yes I know rotors were on wrong side here lol

Thanks! Car is still going strong! She was down for maybe a month due to an electrical issue. Chased it to a bad MAP ground wire and my alternator was somehow pushing out 19 volts.
Since then I've just been going to track days and driving her!
