Default 2000 Civic Si - Turbo GSR - 600 whp Build

i bought this h22 swapped 00 si from some crackhead hillbilly 2 years ago for $1500. it had mismatched seats, mismatched wheels. was just in general really poor condition. core support was destroyed. they hacked the floor up for the shifter. It was a total mess. Ive done everything I was capable of doing, on my own. picked up an OEM EM1/CTR grill and lip, purchased new OEM belt moldings and other odds and ends from honda and finally I had the car resprayed EBP by a local collision shop.

Here's how we picked it up!

Pulled and sold the h22. Then sourced a new-used front end before I went out of town for work.

Sold the 17" Falken hanabi', ep3 passenger seat, and the ebay grill.

And as I stated, core support was beat to hell! I ordered a new one from Honda for just under $400. I would eventually order a new front bumper as well.

Core support was replaced, so I test fit the front end. It lived up so well. Now the car sat. Probably day for a year or so while I tinkered with customer cars. Finally the car was ready for the paint shop.

I took the car to a body shop I felt was capable, but it day outside for 5 weeks with no windows. Owner finally tells me that it's not likely they'll get to it until winter, so I picked the car and took it to my second option. Dropped the car off, they quoted 3 weeks to paint it, it took them 9. But it wasn't sitting outside in the weather.

Before car web but to paint, I was able to basically mock everything up. I used my blown up GSR block and had and an empty trans case to get the intercooler and radiator where I wanted it. From there I moved into the cold side pipe. Got the clamp ferells welded to the intercooler. 16an bungs welded to the radiator. Tractuff filler neck and thermostat housing moved, made radiator hoses after that.

Had the valve cover coated "bluer blue cast" color is great, but the texture isn't right.
