I'm curious to see how your lights turn out. I wanna see how much easier this route is going to be than the one i chose lol

It'll probably be easier, but the end result won't be as impressive lol. I'm so ready to get it done though, I forgot how bad these aftermarket lights sucked.

Ah i see what you meant but the rusted area now. I'm going to assume the passenger side gave you the most headache?

Yea, the passenger side was the worst. Stripped the head on every screw, had to chase all the threads and grab new hardware from work.

Thanks dude.

So I'm up in the air about putting my set of B16 pistons in the GSR. I really don't remember if I bought PR3 or P30, and that's where my hesitation is coming from. Looks like I'm gonna have to tear down my old LS block and see what I have.

My headlights are finally ready to go back in the car. I've tested them by just installing the hid bulbs and laying them on the core support, and it's already 100x better than stock.

We'll see how these do after work tonight. Our parking lot at work isn't very level, so I kind of eyeballed everything for the time being. It's hard to pick up the blue in this light, but it's still very much there.

Just for looks. I spotted something similar at the fall IA meet last year on a JDM front Integra. I painted the inside of the cutoff shield flat black also, supposedly it helps sharpen up the cutoff.

Ah gotcha, i planned on painting the shields on mine as well. I've read that it helps a lot.

I went to dad's shop tonight to change a starter and aim these headlights.

Starter shorted itself out somehow...

They're a little high, but that's a pretty easy fix. Hopefully I didn't suffer any real electrical damage. I replace the power lead to the starter from the battery, and the ground from battery to chassis, and trans to chassis. That's all the damage I've found so far, and the alternator is still putting out 14 volts. It seemed fine the whole 45 minute ride home.

I had my starter attempt to short itself out on my car too, it was the ground wire from the trans to the chassis. It finally fell apart after 21 years of service lol.

i am really impressed with how those lights turned out, they look awesome. great job!

I wound up replacing the battery to chassis strap, trans to chassis strap, and power from the battery to fuse box and starter. I haven't noticed any other damage, but I think I'll swap in a new harness just to be safe. I'm seriously happy with my lights though. Once I bring them back down they'll be great. Stock projectors with a clear lenses and 6500 Kelvin kit from TRS.
