Ej1sleeper's Coupe Build

hello HT im kinda new here to honda-tech, i chose to join this site after reading the 1000+ page thread "wheres the ej1 love" it gave me so many options and ideas for my car. I decided this is the type of community i wanted to become a part of.

Well i've always wanted a ej1-2 style coupe, at the time my buddy was selling me one for a heck of a deal so i had to pick it up. Needed sum work (de-rice) but i knew i could manage.

despite all the rice and flat paint i still seen potential.

http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...er4/nando2.jpg

I werked on it all last summer getting it to where i wanted her (cosmetic wise)

Spoon Replica front lip
golden eagle rear tow hook
oem eg6 foglights
jdm depo sidemarkers
all four ej1 mudguards
oem honda hood mask
Sir Eg6 corner lens

for wheels i went with Brand new (at the time) konig retracks 15x7.6 with 15 offset on 185 45 15 tires.

http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...eeperparts.jpg

http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...01210_1910.jpg

I was very happy with the outcome, still had a couple more things to buy suspension, camber kit etc.

http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...01110_1233.jpg

On December of 2010 tragidy struck. After losing my job later on the same day i totaled my car. I never felt so devastated in my life.

the next morning i went and picked up my car at the tow yard. she looked like this.

http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...41210_1031.jpg

Everyone from friends, family, to even ex- girlfriend begged me to get rid of it, they told me it was no longer worth it.

Although i was pretty much done with it, i needed someone else's advice, so i called a buddy of mine who taught me a lot about the game, he told me not to give up on it, and prove the downtalkers wrong.

And that's exactly what imma do...

PROGRESS PICS THROUGHOUT THE THREAD!

agreed don't give up

it may look bad now but once you get to work on it you'll realize it's not as hard as you thought.

just looking at this i'd guess you rear ended or hit something like an SUV or a car higher then your own and took damage only to the center IE: bumper, hood, rad support, things in that area

Good to hear

My EG had some front end damage, ended up getting a straight radiator support from the junkyard for $40 and had a friend's shop weld it all up for about $200. Looked just as good as new
