::egvtec:: K series, shaved, tucked bay eg build
Well the build was originally initiated when i was in search of a teal eg when i found this 92 built lsvtec for a reasonable price not too far away so i picked it up.
With no plan of further modding the motor i drove this 92 cx home to find i was getting about 12 mpg, after talking to my dyno tuner he asked me to get a compression test before bringing the car to make a nice power band along with the gas milage improvement. Upon testing the compression i found i had a low cylinder. The following day i pulled the piston out to find a broken ring in my number one cylinder. So after some burgar king with a friend of mine that works at Hybrid Dynamics we decided to go ahead with a k20a2 swap also we decided to shave the bay, tuck the brake lines, along with a wire tuck. I will be doing the paint work myself as i have improved over the last few years in that profession. I will have more engine bay pics up tomorrow of the progress. I have never been in a kswap car before so i have no idea what to expect when its done. hope it runs better the 12.5.1 lsvtec i had in it prior to this swap as it pulled very hard even with the compression problem.
