Just to settle the debate, in which you were misinformed . The ground on your valve cover is doing absolutely nothing. Unless you mount it to the stud that goes into the head, the valve cover is completely isolated from everything else by the rubber gasket. Even the spot you moved it to is incorrect .

Hmm very good point. I figured the VC bolts somehow would make contact with the threaded holes in the head but then realize the grommets had rubber too. you win... you win lol

MOAR updates..

Powder coated the lower IC pipe to match

Silver Artery
installed and clamped
top clamped as well

IC clamped to the turbo
Mac valve added
Precision 44mm added
oil return line actually fit pretty nice
Feed line routed away from the timing belt
feed lined connected

bumper trimmed to fit end tanks
cut the other side to match
might add CF back plates to cover the opening once mounted
test fit
not bad

decided to pull these fenders off because they were begining to rust towards where it meets the bumper and had a couple of cracks
Test fitted some fresh ones i already had from another civic and decided to keep and mod these before the paint work
the mock up
Used the old fenders as a template to trace them out for the donors
Not bad for my first time

Finished! I guess now i need to paint the rest of the car yellow.. jk

Picked this CF spark plug cover off Amazon for THE CHEAP.. think it flows good with the purple and black theme

New black valve cover bolt kit coming soon

Another amazon pick up.. $8 for accord replica caps, figured id give it a try

fitment was ok but ended up returning them.. dont look at the shadow

Test fit and mounted the rear lip on the donor bumper

theres a bumper in there somewhere

started taking the body parts apart to drop off at the painters until the car is ready to move #soon

stripped

got no ***

ruined

good by SI badge

parts laid out and ready to drop off

Had to replace the two straight 10AN fittings because it interfered with the IC pipe. A 45degree fitting cleared it perfectly

Both upper bushing needed to be replaced

classic *****/ downpipe pic lol

Found some like new D2 coils for a good price so decided to pick these up quick and switch out the slammed Tien springs

pretty easy nothing was seized
installed

rears are just as easy

made a quick mounting bracket with rubber spacers to mount the vibrating Macvalve.. looks cleaner too

cleaned up the wiring on this side too while i was here. Yes i will be looming this

e85 prep #fuelfilter

perfect time to switch out the old red 90 fittings

Gauges installed and powered on

Boost gauge pressure sensor installed directly to the manifold

Wideband sensor installed too and easy as hell to get too since these sensors love to fail

4k idle at start up

Hard to tell from this pic but i have been chasing a high 4k idle problem for a long time and found out what the cause was once we added coolant. It just poured out from under the coolant port. Apparently somehow the intake flange was warped. No worries got my asian friend and a belt sand and went to work.

you can kind of see runner #1 and the coolant port section bowed a little

another view

putting in work

better

Since the manifold was off i thought it would be a good time to try and tuck the wire harness and remove unnecessary wires

all the old loom and sticky old tape is removed

zip tied in place

new layout of the harness before the new loom and heat shrink

removed all the connectors to clean up all the oil/ grease

soaked it in purple power for about 30 minutes

alot better

clean and simple

final product i think shes ready

Since i am no longer going through the factory engine harness for the power wires decided to use a power bulkhead through the firewall for the alternator, starter and fusebox. All this will be hidden under the catch-can any way

bay side view

in car view

power wires attached

power wire from the battery attached

done

Alot better

not bad me.. brake line tuck coming soon

thanks man, good thing is that i used the same hole in firewall for the harness and its still somewhat tucked since catchcan is over top. I ended up shortening like 8 wires and extended about 6 using the shortened scraps lol. make sure you test fit before finalizing though

So i finally got the car back after 3 months at the body shop (dont ask, the biggest headache ever) So i started to put the body panels back on and decided to clean up the accessory harness that runs to the front clip since the fenders werent fully mounted yet. The bumper will most likely be off alot i wanted it all to look clean underneath as well. Also took advantage of this and and removed unnecessary wires like the wiper reservoir tank solenoid, ac condenser, ac fan and some other emissions things going on in there.

Car is looking good! I had never had a car painted until recently and it was not a fun experience sounds like you didn't enjoy yours either.

. soo yea i begin to lose interest in the build after the body shop kept the car for a little over 3 months. So after i put it back together and got my photoshoot in i posted up a feeler FS post on facebook and it sold within an hour.. .. guess i may have priced it too cheap but ahh well have another project already in the works. ill post up the photoshoot pics as soon as they finish.

this thing has seen the trailer more times than the actual road

yup this will be my 21522264 s2000 so trying something different.. LS2k coming soon
