DC4KiD's 1994 Civic VX build - 5 lug, turbo, etc
It's been a long time since I've done a build thread anywhere. I guess this is a good time to start a new one. This time, it is for a 1994 Civic VX hatchback (complete shell) that I bought from a co-worker. Didn't think I'd build another Honda any time soon, but for the price I got it for, I couldn't pass it up. So just bare with me as this car progresses; might be a slow build, or a fast one, since I work 11 hours/day 5 days/week AND I still have the Integra from day one that I still like to drive and mod. On to the pix!
04/19/2015: My brother towed it to the house while I was away in Reno, NV for some fun away from work. I pushed it to the backyard when I got back home 2 days after.
Money shot (empty, hah)
Borrowed some spares from the co-workers so I can have this shell towed home and roll it around.
Here you can see my Integra

04/22/2015: Picked up a complete JDM ITR 5 lug brake conversion setup for a great price from JDM Engine Bay just minutes away from my house. Came with everything I needed to convert from Civic disc/drums to the 5 lug; 36mm axles, front/rear spindles, soft brake lines, and the much needed rear parking brake cables. Didn't need wheels since I already have 3 different sets of ITR wheels.
Stock front VX brakes with slotted rotors ready to be removed
Bye-bye stock brakes. Rack & pinion bellow boots torn on both driver and passenger sides, so I removed both outer tie rods and painted the threads to make re-installation much easier. Just waiting for the boots I ordered last night to come in.
Hello ITR front brakes!
Rear drum brakes ready to come off
Off it goes! TruHart rear camber kit (excellent condition, used for only a few months) for sale if anyone is interested. That rear trailing arm bushing has seen better days...
Rear 5 lug disc brakes on
That's it for today. Waiting for some suspension parts to come in so I can finish this

Hard to tell from the pics but was the engine bay paint original? If so, I wish you had kept it og.

A few new updates with suspension parts installed/replaced.
05/03/2015: Rear lower control arms, sub-frame brace, Integra 14mm rear sway bar (non-ITR), and coilovers installed. These are low-budget/cheaper knock-off parts to replace missing and/or damaged parts that the shell came with (or lack of).
05/06/2015: New front passenger side lower control arm came in the mail to replace the bent OEM arm. Pictures shows the new arm laying directly on top of the old one. You can see where the arm was bent (lower ball joint location), which was causing the front passenger side wheel to be pushed back towards the rear of the car.
05/07/2015: New pair of Prothane front sway bar end-link & bushings arrived. Front passenger side end-link was bent/damaged along with the lower control arm, so I figured it was a good time to just replace the front pair of end-links while I was at it.
Front driver side end-link & bushing, and new rack & pinion boots/bellows installed:

Re: DC4KiD's 1994 Civic VX build
Not much of an update at this time, but the B16 head and block were dropped off at my local machine shop last Wednesday for a head refresh and 0.5mm over bore & hone on the block to fit a set of SRP 9:1 forged pistons and Eagle rods. Head will be fitted with SuperTech dual springs and Brian Crower steel retainers.
Here's a couple pix of the Integra in its current form since I have no new pix of the Civic. Taken 4/26/2015. Follow me on Instagram: b00sted_b18c5 for more pix.
