Some track updates!

So signed up for a track day with Chin Motorsports at Palmer Raceway Park in Massachusetts.
This track was new in 2015 and they are still working on the facility right now. Cant wait to the rest of the track facilities to be done will be really nice place.

This event was a bit more expensive than some other ones but about 6 hours of time on track cant complain.
So my friend with the s2000 who does honda challenge decided to convince me to try out the driving coach he has time to time so I said **** it and split it with him for Saturday of the weekend.
So he spent some sessions with me in the car and spent some time analazing the data and video.
He had the Aim solo DL and Aim smart cam set up in the car so we can link the data and video together.
He took the car out for a session or two and complemented the car and its abilities….though he said if I want to go fast might need to upgrade some shocks down the road but as is the car is great!

This quick clip is one of my Fastest laps 1:54.09
I ran pretty consistently about 154 most of the weekend couldn’t get the 153 like I wants just either hit traffic or messed up a section. Looking back on the video I improved 90% of the turns just never got a full clean lap again.
Well on Saturday afternoon made a little error and blew past the braking zone after I picked up some more speed on an earlier section and didn’t stop in time so went through a tire wall
Damage to the car was really minimal could have been 10x worse. Was mostly rubber marks on the car, some paint is chipped and spidered haven’t had time to clean off all the rubber to see what all of the damage is. After that session just looked over the car to make sure it all looked great and went back out the rest of Saturday and Sunday!

Thanks! Do your self the favor and go to the track dont make excuses why you cant. Make sure you have some tires with decent thread and some brake pads and just enjoy driving! I have a friend ditch his 650hp turbo set up for a stock ITR motor bc he loved to road race and the turbo / drag set up was not as fun .

Holy **** bro I just spent the past few days going through all40 pages and am glad that I did! After seeing all the work you went through to do the majorly tucked engine bay I thought it was going to be another show car that doesn't get driven and I was happily proved wrong! Oh track days are so much fun wish i would have know this a while back and started when i had the b series in the car. Thanks i am enjoying every second im on track! I wasnt going to let a little indecent knock me down. Im going back to Palmer again in a few weeks!

Haha the car went from a daily driver to a sorta show car/ weekend car to now track car....eventually i can see the car coming off the road and putting in a full cage for safety and wheel to wheel racing but i have to figure some stuff out with life first

This was a video with my driving coach drew teaching me the lines and the course a bit better since it was my first time here



This video is one of drew driving to see what my car is capable of with a real driver lol but lap 3 or 4 the bolts on the shifter box decided to sheer off on a down shift to 3rd






This video was from sunday of that weekend

ended up running 2 seconds quick on sunday due to less cars on the track so i could get a real clean lap in.

Some shot from Palmer a few weeks back.

Convinced some other friends to join us at the track my buddy k swap crx and another friends New mustang. Had a ton of fun ran some consistent times with my shot NT01s but got every bit of use out of them. Ran faster this weekend than the past weekend with 95 degree heat.

I have some decent videos messing around with some of the other hondas in the HPDE group 4 which was fun. need time to edit those.

Another track day from September 2016

Went with a run group called Hooked on driving this time instead of NASA.

This run group was pretty good! Lots of track time and lots of fast cars on the track.

Got to play around with some high horse power cars in the little civic



Had some minor issues that day at the track after my 3rd session on Saturday I came to realize that my header cracked at one of the welds…..it was ******* loud!



So Saturday night and after my last session I went to autopart store to make some quick repairs so I would hold up Sunday. Got some stuff together to make it work and went out Sunday morning on track.

The patch job lasted all of half a session. So down on power and having my TPS act up I was still improving my lap times each time out on my used heat cycles RR so wasn’t a bad day.

I will complain about the 3 hour drive home from the track open head though
