Re: Chase's red 92 DA-K build
Thanks everyone for subscribing and the encouragement. I'm not doing the crazy tucked and shaved bay, but the headllight harnesses will be re-routed through the fenders. I'm just going for clean, simple, and the much anticipated fun factor. Who thinks it may be worthy of some magazine or other coverage (obviously not done yet, but you see where it's headed)?

highly doubt he's going to change his wheels based on that, but dumber things have happened. I sure as hell wouldnt put work equips on any car I own.

It already has/had gold and polished wheels lol. I loved the Volks but decided to change it up for an altogether different look to compliment all the rest of the new parts. Got some 8in wide 15's with a +25 offset

You've already posted on another thread what wheels you were getting so I think you should just tell them? Good luck on your build, car looks great and with a K it will just be icing on the cake.

I'll just post some pictures when I get the suspension together. As soon as gay photobucket will fix my links I can upload them.

Sorry dudes. Photobucket raped me. They said I uploaded more than allotted in a month. Bastards! I'll get it straightened out.

Re: Chase's red 92 DA-K build
Thanks fellas, Matt, sir! I just got some new parts in the mail, got all the rest of the wheel wells prepped and painted on Sunday and SpeedFactory called today; they got all my bushings and all that jazz pressed in and the Type R calipers machined down to fit the 11" rotors. So that means I get to go pick that up and install all the suspension & get the car back to rolling status!!! I can't do a whole lot in a one car garage, can't even get the passenger door open enough to take off the fender. Ridiculous!

My latest venture...
Random interior shot. The new NR-G q/r was missing hardware so my steering wheel is not there, lol and you can see my completely necessary Braodway mirror
Got the steering rack looped, filled with fluid, new boots installed, and the Energy Suspension bushings in.
Everybody knows about some F7 LCA's
Driver rear wheel well underbody coated(I can't get pictures of the others due to the fact the passenger side is against the wall)
Powerslot's for the rear. The rear calipers will be cleaned up and re-painted soon. (it's getting f*ing cold here)
Coil-overs have been cleaned up. I don't know why the threads and lower (silver) collars have corrosion, it hasn't seen anything more than some rain. That's what I get for spending money on expensive parts
And last but not least today, Full-Race traction bars back from powder-coating.
Before: (Oh man! Look what daily driving does to your ****)
After: (front motor mount removed)

Re: Chase's red 92 DA-K build
I'd also like to add a big to F-R. As the powder-coater was looking at the bars, he noticed the front motor mount cracked all the way around the welds where it meets the cross-member. This isn't the first problem, as those small brackets you see were replacements for the last brackets that bolt the arms to the LCA's. This was a result of putting parts to use, launching my stock B18C on drag radials at the strip, thus bending (yes bending) the previous brackets upwards, putting the driver side radius rod right into the crank pulley, chewing both the arm and the pulley. I swear, can't get anything nice even when you pay for it.

All three sets of coilovers I've had corroded the same way... Skunk 2 full coilovers, Omni Sleeves, and then my Tanabe sustec pros... I just hit the Tanabes with some penetrating oil and lightly took a wire brush to the threads and wiped away the excess. Now I keep anti-seize on the threads. It doesn't look that great, but it keeps the threads from binding up if you adjust the height.

I'm glad it's not just me then. I tried steel wool, label 0, and scrubbed the threads and it kinda helped but nothing tremendous. They're fine I guess. I doubt I'll be lowering them anymore. The car is at the right height for looks and without destroying everything underneath again.

Sell the FR unit and Get ESP bullet proof in every way, Welds, Beefier Heims etc. Once you get the car running, bring it down if wanting a Front Torque Mount Kit for the DA we can probably custom make you one onto our Traction Bar System...
