Thanks everyone! It was a busy day working on the car but unfortunately I don't have too much to show. I'll try to get a few pics up tomorrow when I have time.

Man I had no idea that's where you were! I'm certain by the time you make it up here it'll be ready to terrorize these stupid hippies driving 55mph on I-5

Sunday Nov. 6th; got some more work done today, a little.

All the OEM parts I need to take, along with the knuckles and rear trailing arms over to SpeedFactory and have everything pressed in. Hubs (front), ARP studs (not pictured), wheel bearings (front), outter tie rods, steering rack boots, and a couple exhaust hangers, and every imaginable polyurethane bushing known to man. (192k miles on this dude!)

New K-Tuned ram header. I'm not stoked about the shininess. Anyone have any suggestions for color and type of coatings (not silver)?

It's the little details...

Before

After

Minor, but better clearance on the tip

Before cleaning

After: Duplicolor Underbody rubberized coating

Current, nasty dirty, engine bay

No more wipers or windshield squirters

RainX in layers FTW! (Not gonna be a daily driver)

And now what I know everyone wants to see (you prob been calling my BS on the swap lol)

USDM K20A2, 66k miles, complete swap.

And the final touch to finish off my build...

Wow, this is quite the project. Very excited to see more progress. Those headers look incredible, either heat-wrap or ceramic-coat those bad boys! Oh, and what model are the Funtion-Form Coilovers? I'm considering getting a set for my EK hatch.

Thanks man! I need to look into some ceramic coatings. I knew this was the right header due to the very thin side profile, and well, it just looks bad ***. I just don't like the shiny. Looks cheap kinda. Oh, and they're Type II's. I like em.

Got my traction bars back from powdercoat today. I also contacted a performance coating company local who I think I'm gonna take the header to and do a "cermachrome" finish. It should look really clean, and not gay chrome crap. Also just got an update on a recent order of parts... Function7 LCA's, Powerslot rear rotors, a steering wheel quick release, and a Broadway mirror

No not a Chief yet but maybe a TSgt next year. On that note, I have to spend a little less time in this thread and get my *** to studying. I've been on enough deployments and been saving for quite a while to do this. All the **** going down here is all payed for. No credit cards. If I don't have the cash, it can wait!

I figured that was the case. That is the only way to build a car, no need to go in debt over it.

Very Very clean build man. I love DA's when they are done like this. Man Just curious have you ever been in a built H series? I cant quite figgure out why everyone insists on putting in a Kseries not that they arent nice, its just that I have seen mildly built and even 1 stock jdm h22 eg's destroy k20a2's. My boy has a built H series in his DA and let me tell you it puts my boys k series ek to shame. for a little less money you could build an H and laugh at k's. But hey thats me sick *** whip and good luck.

Actually I've never been in anything with a H. I don't doubt it's potential but what you said that I'd like to point out is the fact that your buddie's car has a "built" H series. I'm sticking with a stock top & bottom end. I'll prob. make a little over 200whp and great torque with just bolt ons vs doing an H22 and then tearing into it. I'd sure hope your friends car with a built H22 would walk a stock K series. I chose the K series for my car based on all the aftermarket parts now a days that have simplified the K swap soo much and the other fact of how few DA's have a K swap. I just wanted more than the stock B series, using a stock K series.

good luck with this build. you are going to have a lot of fun with this k motor. with the very few mods i've got on my FA5, its already faster than my poorman's itr DA was which had more done to it.

Thanks everyone for subscribing and the encouragement. I'm not doing the crazy tucked and shaved bay, but the headllight harnesses will be re-routed through the fenders. I'm just going for clean, simple, and the much anticipated fun factor. Who thinks it may be worthy of some magazine or other coverage (obviously not done yet, but you see where it's headed)?
