Re: Casey's 1992 Civic Si build
I am in the process of moving everything to imgur. #keeptheforumsalive
Another update - finally got a chance to get the paint correction done and to put some protection on it. I took it to a good friend of mine that I trust. I originally bought products to use on it, however when he tried them they didnt really agree with my paint so we used what he had and applied Ammo NYC Reflex on top of the paint. I am going to use Jescar powerlock sealant to protect it. The paint looks incredible!!
In the shop in process:
and finished in different lighting. It is pretty hard to capture but we couldnt believe how nice it turned out

Thanks everyone. Had the first hiccup on the build. Of course it was Thursday after I sent the pic of the bay. I drove the car to work so I could roll down to Jordans to have it loaded on the trailer to take to IA. They brakes felt squishy getting off the highway on the way to work. When I left work, I hit them to slow down for a stop sign and the pedal went to the floor. Ended up using my e brake to drive half a mile to a well lit gas station. Did a little inspecting and found a brake fluid leak on the right front I get off work at midnight. Luckily Jordan already had the trailer attached and was able to roll up to load the car on. We ended up getting back to his place around 2:30am. I probably got 3 hours of sleep since Im usually up late due to my work schedule. We got up at 7:30 and took it to his shop. Got the car jacked up, I pulled the wheel off and found the culprit: the Russell stainless line had some additional length and had rubbed the inside of the barrel of my RNR and over time had rubbed a hole in it. Shitty for sure, but an easy fix. We found one of my original rubber lines and put it on thinking it would solve the issue. Come to find out, the line had completely collapsed and we could not get any fluid to flow even with full pedal pressure and a vacuum bleeder. Pretty frustrating for sure. Jordan ended up finding another line, we got it on and did a quick bleed. Surprisingly the pedal felt great. We got the car on the trailer and headed to the meet.
We made good time and got to the convention center around 4:30, offloaded and cleaned the car. Heres a few pics Jake (weaksi) took before the venue got crowded
Overall, we had a good time at the meet. We only stayed a few hours and had a great time hanging out and eating in Nashville. Definitely a successful trip and a well needed vacation with good friends

No changes on the car recently but I did have a good time at tuner evo. Was a LONG day but saw some old friends and made some new ones. I also ended up getting 1st in the 88-00 civic class so that was pretty cool! Glad that the time and effort went appreciated by the judges
