Default EK20R

After years of lurking I've decided to create an account and do a build thread just as the previous owner did on here. I'm based in Bay Area, CA and have been obsessed with cars/racing since I was born but it wasn't until my first job at 15 that I bought my first car, a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I eventually moved on to Honda's a year later after seeing them at street races/meets/shows. Anyways here are a couple pics of my past builds in no order..

2000 Civic Si in Flamenco Black Pearl with Enkei RPF1 15x8, Spoon Sports intake, header and Tein Basis coilovers. My first trackday at Thunderhill and I went a little overboard on the blue tape haha..

2000 Acura Integra GSR in Forrest Green at Thunderhill with JDM front and complete OEM aero. I ran BuddyClub P1 16x7 with Tein Basis coilovers, no aftermarket I/H/E..

1997 Civic Hatchback with a GSR swap in Gun Metallic from the '10 GTR. More jdm goodies like CTR heads/tails, SiR bumpers, Volks/Buddyclub/RPF1, Spoon Sports Lip/Duckbill/Hood, Miracle X, J's, etc. This car has a special place in my heart because I put the most blood, sweat and tears into it which eventually led me to parting it out due to a blown engine..

2005 Honda S2000 aka AP1.5 in Suzuka Blue that I kept it simple due to being my DD..

2000 Honda S2000 New Formula Red with JDM goodies like RE30 CSII 17x10, CE28 Time Attack 17x9, RPF1 17x9, Voltex FRP front, CraftSquare S1000R, Spoon Sports, Mugen, CT Engineering, Greddy, J's, etc. This was my last build in 2015 and sold it so I can focus on my career. I was so close to finishing it and I plan to purchase another one when the time is right..

It's a 2000 Civic CX hatchback in Taffeta White w/ 151k miles in January 2019 with original motor and optional sunroof (someone correct me if this wasn't offered). The car came with good mods for the price and I really wasn't planning to buy a car but stumbled upon her craigslist ad and immediately fell in love. I quickly removed parts that I didn't like and will continue updating this. The goal is to make it a circuit/show car since I have a passion for racing and just enjoying the company with fellow enthusiasts at shows, not to mention it's a lot cheaper.

The photos below are from 2011-2013 and after that it has been stored in the garage rarely seeing the streets. I'm going to call this stage MK1

The metal bracket for the rear seat was shaved off which gives it a cleaner look..

I sold the authentic Mugen wing for a authentic Bomex that will be paint matched. I would've kept the Mugen for my collection but it looks even ugly even as wall art haha..

I sold the NRG/Nardi setup for a Circuit Hero billet black steering wheel hub & Mugen Racing III 350mm leather wheel + titanium steering wheel bolts. I then removed the Mugen 260gm shift **** for a PowerHouse Amuse R1 260gm titanium shift ****. But after driving it around the block, I realized I didn’t like the 350mm steering wheel size nor the shift **** so I placed a new setup through ICB..

My friend was very generous to offer his help so I quickly moved it into his shop. I then sold the Progress CS-II coilovers for JRZ RS Pro 3-way suspension with Eibach F17.5kg and R12k springs, Karcepts top hats, no helper springs..

Bonus photo that my friend sent me, I plan on drilling holes to mount the resevoirs in the interior with custom brackets mounted on the Miracle X bar so for now zip ties with a filthy undercarriage..

Some misc stuff I ordered like Treefrog squash (life hack is to order the 6 pack on ebay for $30 shipped), Stoptech SS lines since I noticed my lines were a bit damaged, Project Mu floating 2 piece lugnuts to replace those faded red lugnuts, Mugen MT pedals from ICB since I'm missing the rubber inserts and a antenna delete plate (not pictured)..

I sourced a pair of Vision Technica type DC carbon fiber mirror from a friend. The clearcoat has some fading that I plan to paint match later. It came with OEM plates for 94-01 Integra, so I placed an order through ICB for OEM Civic 96-00 plates and came within a few days..

My Seeker 325mm steering wheel and Feel's Ti shift **** finally came in. I really love how it's perforated leather and has a much thicker grip compared to my Mugen. It came with a horn button but I plan on running a different one. Also the shift **** is heavier than I expected but overall I think I'm satisfied with this setup..

Fast forward to this month, I've decided to go with PCI spherical bushings, trailer arm, fr/rr camber kit and LCA with Eibach 25mm rear sway bar + ASR spherical endlinks. I will not be running a front sway bar until I get feedback from a trackday. I also ordered a complete geometry kit through Honed Development that includes extended front ball joints, adjustable tie rod kit and rear roll centre correction brackets. When everything arrives I will try to post installation pics.

It will but I'll have it registered so I can enjoy it on special occasions. It's a car meant to be driven whenever, where ever..

Nice parts you got there on Civic.
But I thought you would tell us you bought NSX after selling necessary parts from Civic. :D

(late update post from when I traded my wheels) I finally met up with the guy who traded me the bomex for mugen wing but upon installation, it fitted HORRIBLY. The holes wouldn't line up, the shape was wavy and it started cracking but luckily he is an honest person and made it right by paying the cash difference. And just as my luck was turning around, there happened to be a shop incident that cracked my replica tails and chipped my rear bumper..

I'm actually glad it didn't work out because I wasn't feeling it..

Just look at the huge gap..

Good news is that it's just cosmetic and gives me a reason to purchase authentic tails. There are no broken tabs and the hatch isn't fully closed hence the gap..

August update:

1). I sold my 15' TE37 in hopes to find a 16x8 TE37 and have been temporarily using Wedssport TC05 15x6.5 on Yokohoma S. Drives 205/45/15
2). I've received my Honed/PCI parts after a 2 month wait but haven't installed them
3). I purchased Sergeant Race Division adjustable dead pedal from ICB since I noticed I didn't even have an OEM dead pedal
4). I've posted sold my OEM front lip to offset the cost of a First Molding carbon fiber lip that's expected to arrive in 3 months
5). I purchased 2 OEM CTR wing (Champ white/Milano Red) and 1 OEM base for a good deal but I really only needed the OEM base.
6). I purchased a used but like new pair of OEM EDM 99-00 tail lights with integrated fog light & switch to replace my damaged replica tails
7). I purchased a used pair of OEM CTR 99-00 headlights with bulbs/sockets to replace my OEM USDM
8). I purchased a used but like new J's Racing 3D GT 1350mm wing
9). I purchased a used Alcon 4 piston forged twin block calipers + PMU SCR Pro 300mm x 28mm/11.8" rotors | R*CREW brake hat kit + Winmax W3 Sports Circuit brake pads + 5mm spacers
10). I purchaed OEM double-din stereo delete cover #77240-S0X-A00ZB and plan to remove the entire audio system
11). I purchased Seals-it 3" 1/2 hole groumet #SGS35500 so I can mount my resevoirs on the X bar while not having dirt/water come inside

As you can see the paint was kinda dull..

I did 2 layers of flat black Plasti-Dip and it looks just as new! Such a cheap and effective mod for small items..

I didn't need these so I immediately posted them for sale..

I received my OEM EDM tails with integrated fog light which I won't bother connecting..

I purchased a used pair of CTR heads locally..

i'm not 100% sure, but there may be difference between LHD and RHD headlights, I don't know is it smart choice to install CTR headlights.

But for the rest, great updates, car looks amazing. :D
