hello h-t..

ive never posted any of my build threads on here. always have been kind of a lurker.

ive build building honda's since around 98' 99' always been a passion of mine.

so before i show you pics of the current teg build i want to show you some pics, and links to some of my previous builds so you kinda get an idea of my style. and you can make up your own assumptions as to weather this will be anything worth keeping an eye on.

and then my pheniox yellow si. had orginally a k24 ended up with a k20 due to the k24 having issues.

then i recently sold my s2k... got it pretty much bone stock..

here was the bay before i sold it..






sold it didnt finish it. oh wells. first project i didnt finish.


anyways...

off to the teg. shes rough but bare with me.

coping and pasting updates from k20a.....


first off. had to make sure my go juice was in attendence.


picked up a gallon of paint for this rig. :new_slayer:

first off sorry for the cell pics.
pulled the nasty *** headlights, bumper and grille.

then pushed it out to pressure wash it.

then pushed it back in and begun the saga of tearing this bish down

fenders off.


bay stripped pretty much

on to the interior.
doors off.

dash out

heater box and all air ducted out


dash wiring out and most of cabin

some of the bullshit that was pulled off and not going back on. good ridenice!


carpet out!


thats all for lastnight. today i have to drive 2 hours to meet a guy from tenn. to sell my RHD swap to him. then im coming back and going to try out this soda blaster on the bay and other areas. cant hurt it.. at all.
ill be back with more updates. need to pull the windows still, and the rear bumer along with all the **** back there.

pushed the car out and pulled some misc interior peices.
and test fitted my auto power 4 point out of my hatch. didnt fit so she goes up for sale.



you can see how it dont fit. which i had suspected. no big deal as i was going to modify it to an idea i had. which actually works out cause ill buy a weld in cage and modify it how i had invisioned.



going to pick up a mint drivers door tonight before softball. im super excited cause i found a itr roof that im going to be picking up.
im mocking up a battery box. got a cool idea for this. i hope to start on it this week.
i still need to pull the
-windows
-gas tank
-rear bumper
-rear hatch
then i can begin to start welding up the bay.
im going to be soda blasting the bay and maybe the inside of the car tomorrow. so im excited to see how well it turns out.
i have some cool things instore for this build! :nod:

may not seem like much right now. but stripping down a car to the shell is a process.
i got some things im waiting on to come in then i can start rolling on the project some more.

heres some pics fools.
the mint door i picked up locally. sitting next to the destroyed pos.

and the **** to soda blast
**** feels like sand hitting you. lol

got the car outside on jacks to get hit with the soda.

more stripping going on.

got all the **** off the rear, just need to get the nasty *** bumper beam off.


so i got prolly few more hours of soda blasting. really takes off the rust really well and that was my main focus for doing it.
im waiting on a buddy to swing by with a tool so i can cut the windows out, and im waiting on my new gun to come in.
ill start to work on shaving the bay this week some time. i picked up some steel today which i didnt take pics of.
ill prolly start puling the roof this weekend.
sorry for the lame updates but its part of the build that i have to go through.

got my new gun and picked up my own blue point window seal cutter.

i got to try this gun out and i loved it. so i bought it just for this project. lol





should have the windows cut out this week. and tomorrow ill start on the bay and i started to build my own rotisorrie. lol

ok so i spent all morning trying to hunt down a roof skin. called two places and they swore they had a RS 2dr non sunroof. im like cool be there in a few. went to first one.
toke me back to look at it... ****ing sunroof. only one they had..
im like no prob ill go over to the next one.
get there.. stupid ****s had 4 tegs.. 3 with sunroofs,, the forth.. :facepalm: was an RS but it had three cars stacked on top. :rage:

anyways got some work done and picked up a few things.
fresh new headlights. they arent black housing but i couldnt pass them up for the deal.


got the rest of my frontend coming....
then my new mounts came.




and i got this on a deal. came with a drivers eg/dc rail
so i was like cool i can rock this for a while.


then i went out and got a few things done on the teg.
got the windows cut out.


after that i began to work on the bay.
i started to cut the studs off and doing the usual.... i was like this **** is boring ive done the samething 400 times it seems. i wanted to do something that i have done yet. lol


oh snap. hahah.




i have an idea for the other holes on the firewall so ill prolly mock something up for that later this week.
and i came up with a cool idea for the battery that ill try and get that started on.
then i tried getting this off. i gave up for tonight. started to **** me off. i when HAM on it with the hammer. cussed at it and decided i was hungry and wanted to go watch a movie.


im gathering supplies to build my rotisserie so i hope to have that going soon. but thats it for now. ill have more updates later this week.

picked up a cf lip from nick. and i have my itr lip so i can switch it up every so often. its a spoon rep. should look good on my color.



waiting on some more parts to come in. just been pulling misc **** off the car. getting it stripped. ill have some more pics tomorrow night.
just a random pic. you can see how **** poor the paint job is from this pic.
just showing you how bad it is so when i get it done you can see how much work im putting into this car.

thread should move along quicker with some nice updates from here on out so bare with me.

thats where im at so far. i have several things coming in the mail for it, along with ton of work ahead of me that ill try and keep this thread updated as much as possible.

thanks guys. yea kinda regret getting rid of the si.


so my cage came in. so i decided i better get the inside prepped before i put it on the rotissorie



so i started doing the worst part that i hate... getting all this stupid **** off the floor board.







its a process but ill have more updates as i get into this weekend.

in other news. these came in. so fresh and so nice!!!

had to set my lip on it..


you can see the grille laying there also. so glad to get rid of the other garbage front i had.

one more of the fenders.



so i got more of the sound **** out. getting closer. also pulled out the rest of the wiring in the cabin.




also started to strip the paint off the rear panel around the headlights. still some more work left there.

welded up some more holes in the bay and did a quick grind on the welds. also got the tranny mount knocked off.
also toke the wire wheel to the excess sealer in the bay. still lot of work left in the bay i just do little by little.

got the junky *** sunroof out.

prolly start taking the roof off this week.
started to hand sand some areas on the shell..

ok.......
so i already knew i had planned on putting new quarters on. i just didnt know how much of the quarter i was going to have to replace.. till i started knocking down the quarter and came to this discovery... :facepalm:

some dumbass's dont know how to do body work. this quater is effffff.

so ill be buying quarters. which is fine with me. rather have fresh body panels anyways. :shades:

then i had some grip tape laying around from my si that i never did use. so i thought ehh wth ill clean up the pedals on the ol teg and try it out. the blue is a little bright for me. so ill endup getting some black grip tape instead. easy change out. i was just demonstrating anyways.

they were a little rusty as usual..

so i decided to clean them up, pop the factory rubber pads off.. and went to town.

brushed on some rust proofing.. after sanding down with some 320..


then i used the pads as templates to trace and then cut the grip tape.


had to go back over with a razor and trim up the edges.



and just a random pic. i love my wheels. :nod:

That is a ton of body filler. Its nice to see that someone is restoring that car to its former glory.

yea that means when i replace the quarters and the roof, ive almost replaced every panel on this car.

thanks for the kind words but i think it looks like **** right now. haha. thats why im busting tail to get this body in shape.

yup i tried getting it back from him at one point. guy has kept it clean and upgraded areas that needed to be upgraded.

that car is the reason im thinking of boosting this teg.
