1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

whats up guys. the name is Julz and im from Massachusetts, sadly. took me a WHILE to find a EG with out any rust/ rot, clean tittle, no damages or anything like that but i finally did it, surprisingly with 105k original miles.
car is in really good shape, except for the paint, which im not too concerned about since that means i get to repaint the car. It is red and originally from Tennessee, so of course the top half of the car is pink :|

here's how i got it.

eww
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...22a07eb40b.jpg

FIRST THING I DID WAS POST THESE WHEELS UP FOR SALE . the car was basically bone stock except for some cheap truharts coilovers, ebay front and rear camber kits (all going to be replaced) and these CCW classic 5s wheels that were extremely ugly. personally not my style. Function over stance ALLDAY ;)

Here's some more pics

car came with a brand new dizzy lol. but here is it, basically a fresh start. the interior is all there and complete, and pretty damn clean. engine is 100% unmolested which is becoming impossible to come across around my area. i have big plans for this car but due to the fact that we are in winter, it is going to be a slow progress :/

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

Here's a picture of the coupe with the ugly wheels. Also, i do want to mention in case you guys were wondering. the previous owner started sanding down the top of the car. he must've been bored asf or something. he did a really sh***ty job but thankfully he never finished it before he made it worse.
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...6d9ea188ad.jpg

got rid of the wheels and threw on some other ugly 16inch rota grid wheels for now. if only they were real TE37's  one day...

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...956db9429e.jpg

for some reason, the driver side fender was BUSTED. not sure how it happened but there is no serious damages or anything. literally just the fender looks like tin foil. i went ahead and ordered a new one.

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

picked up a OEM sir lip, bought some slips with brand new tires. gave the interior a nice cleaning. she gets driven like once a week and due to the fact that we are in winter and im always working, i barely have time to work on the car  all i do is order parts after parts after parts. my plans with the car is to begin with all the suspension/ bushing components around the car. once im done with that, im planning on either starting engine work or sending it to paint. my motor choice for this car im thinking H2b :dance1:

here's how she sits at the moment.

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Haven’t really done much to the car because of the weather and also because I got a new job, but the weather seems to be getting better and I have a bunch of parts laying around so I’ll be having more content soon. But here’s so pics of how it sits atm

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

The other day I picked up some real mint GSR blades with Falken azenis all around for a really good price. Favorite OEM wheels of all time

Also started getting ready to strip all the suspension components on the car. It’s still gonna be a slow progress because I really NEED to invest in good tools/power tools

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

What’s up guys, it’s been a while. Been busy around the house and also with work, but I’ve made some slow progress on the coupe

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...76d5a053f.jpeg
Stripped the entire front suspension except tie rods since I don’t have the tool so I’m leaving it for last

So remember how I mentioned the car came with eBay camber kits.... that was the passenger side, the driver side was bent too ... don’t do this to you self guys

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...0e0c16c19.jpeg

Im gonna be running some skunk2 upper control arms about 2 months old that my brother donated to me. A little rusty, but bushings and balljoints are good

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...660cf1ae9.jpeg

And im gonna be selling these BWR Coilovers that I had on the car. I’ve had them for years and now ride like shit lol
I’m gonna be purchasing some new Coilovers but not sure what brand to go with yet....
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...daa833096.jpeg

Did a little bit of undercoating lol, nothing too crazy or fancy..something I have to come back to in the future and do the whole bottom

Make sure to put some grease on those balljoints.
And dude, did you ever cleaned those coilovers?? That coilovers next one won't be adjusting for sure.

Nice progress anyway. :)

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

Some update on this slow ass build...

so Incase I haven’t mentioned, I’m also trying to keep this build in a budget since there’s a lot more I have to do so I went with moog balljoints and tie rods, supreme bushings, and hard race front lower control arms
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...485b09a06.jpeg
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...a22ec4c20.jpeg

I also cleaned the spindles and control arms a bit and painted them with engine paint. Not the best job but something for now
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...5550b1850.jpeg
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...90ee845b7.jpeg
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...df05000d4.jpeg

Slowly started putting things back together, I’m only focusing on the front end right now because i plan on doing rear disk conversion in a couple weeks/months so when I get to that, I’ll give the rear this much attention.. and yes I know I should’ve replaced the wheel bearings as well I kinda forgot to order them and didn’t wanna wait :|

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...43ddae960.jpeg
My boy anthony came thru for the tie rods

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

It’s been a while since my last post. After throwing on the new tie rods, I started putting everything back together and also threw on the new coilovers

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...42b54a1ac.jpeg

i decided to go with Blox Drag spec, now my ass should’ve known not to get drag spec on a car that I’m gonna be driving probably 4 days out of the 7 lol, specially around my hometown and these shitty ass streets :ugh: They are stiff as a motherf****

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...8b04f7a0b.jpeg

Finally the car is back together and ready for paint :yas:

Re: 1994 eg coupe/ ej2 build.

I’m Inlove, this car really needed the paint job :wiggle: i threw on all the moldings. I kept what’s black black of course, there’s nothin better than a OEM look, I did color match the door handles because EX models come like that, I was also going to paint match the mirrors like the EX models but changed my mind. (Still needs wet sand and buff)
