*SHG_Riley's Midori Build*
I bought this immaculate Midori last Spring; I had small plans for this car when I first bought it because it didn't need much. After an unfortunate accident in December 10' I decided to buy it back from insurance.
Summer 2010-
I don't have any pictures of the accident, or even what the car looked like after the accident. I never took pictures and forgot to before the quarter panel got replaced which I regret now. The quarter was replaced with a brand new Honda OEM panel by a reputable shop near my house. I don't even have full shots of the car because its been on jackstand for a month now. Eventually there will be pictures of the front but for now Im focusing on the rear end. Once the rear is done the car will be turned around to do the front.
I dropped the gas tank, rear trailing arms, exhaust etc.. to get ready for POR15.
Used a wire wheel to get rid of any loose paint, and a good portion of the undercoating around the subframe area.
Then the whole rear was painted with POR15 gray!
The gas tank was Por'd black and I'll have pictures of that later, as well as some other goods I have in store
I never had plans for making a thread, but decided I would so people could get a peak at what's going on, as well as me having a "journal" for the car to look back on. Enjoy!

What's up Riley! I wish you would of been able to join us that weekend but I'm glad you are alright and have decided to keep it. I love Midori EKs and this is the cleanest I've seen in person.
At first I thought it was a FS sale thread but I'm stoked to see that it's a build thread! Good luck dude.
P.S: POR ftw!

Re: *SHG_Riley's Midori Build*
Thanks guys!
Haha Thanks! for Rileys'
Yeah I had to keep it, I could have easily parted it out and made my monies worth because the insurance company actually gave me a decent amount. But I couldn't see it go sit at a junkyard.
I por'd the top of the gas tank, along with the bottom I did por around the edges, and used black spray paint to cover the undercoating. No point in taking off all the original undercoating since it was all still intact in great condition. Also painted the brackets for my brake lines and got my lines in place.

Riley you need something unique. If you do RE30's at least get them in a good size. So many people have them in the normal 15-16x7 and theyre just eh. This car needs something that pops and looks business, especially with the grey chassis peeking
