Oh I know it would man. It's definitely still on my mind. I need more funds! haha

Came across somethin that Ive been wanting for a little while and just my luck it was in central WA.

Not even was it in WA, but the dude just happened comin over hear for some tournament and was in Tacoma and said he could deliver for a little extra cash. So no shipping fees for a big package and I got it way sooner than expected

Long story short I got this OEM ITR checkered trunk mat delivered tonight

Can't wait to get it in there. Almost ready for the interior to go back in!

love the valve cover dude.. Gives me a idea to paint mine the color of my first honda, it was a seattle silver da... i rolled it back in 01.

build is amazing man, my lack of funds keeps me basically only getting my car running, no real extra goodies, I did score some weds tc05's tho, better offset so i can actually drop the car with no rubs ha.

Haha maybe, but idk about teal on red. I'm gettin so close I can taste it! Always liked the monte carlos. I was going to get one and get the oem Honda Momo horn button available at icb motorsports.

Looks like this one

And I am also gettin real curious to see the power now compared to the old high mileage LS. Should be a night and day difference. I'm gonna have to wait and do cams and injectors down the road as well. No spare funds at the moment and ctr cams aren't the cheapest cams. Good luck with the build man, keep us updated. Always like peepin ur thread. Wish you woulda kept those sw's!

Thanks man me either! haha

Sorry about the lack of updates guys. Have been putting in some work on the teg and just hadn't had time to get pics and post em up. So much TLC work it's crazy!

The front wheel wells that I undercoated with the rubberized undercoating were absolutely not drying at all and were about to cause me a lot of grief.

I don't know if I just laid it down too thick, but whatever it was after a month of sitting it was still gummy to the touch and stuck to my fingers when touched.

I spent a little time trying to strip most of it off using a wire wheel and brushes but it is taking some time and is a absolute mess...

Progress so far..

I need to get them completely stripped then clean them out with some simple green so I can lay down the new undercoating.

I wised up and spent a little extra money to get some POR15 in semigloss black. Stuff is super durable and you get enough in one can to do quite a bit of undercoating as well as suspension coating.

Picked up a couple brushes as well as for layin the POR15 some SEM trim paint to refresh the windshield cowling and windshield side moldings

I'm going to be running a stock B series cast iron exhaust mani for the time being and mine looked absolutely disgusting, so it got a nice refresh.

Spent some time wirewheeling and cleaning up the header. After it was clean enough I layed a couple coats of Rustoleum High Heat Engine Enamel. Masked off the bottom pipes and just sprayed the cast iron and the heat sheild then installed new heat shield hardware

Also picked up the last bits from the machine shop. I had to have the head reassembled because the valve spring compressor I had didn't work unfortunately.

Valves installed

Mmm clean exhaust ports..

..and freshly ground valves

As well as OEM dual valve springs (supertech valve stem seals in there somewhere haha)

And lastly got the ARP 9mm rod bolts resized and pressed in to the GSR rods

ARP 12pt's are soo nice

Will hopefully have the engine assembled by next week. Still in need of motor mounts and have some suspension and brake clean up to do, but almost done finally

They are nice. If you run extended top hats it rides even better. Look into the koni/gc combo with top hats. Your gonna fork out around 7-8 for that setup but it will ride real nice though

Thanks man will do

Got some more work done in the wheel wells. Stripping out the undercoating was an absolute mess and was no fun at all.

Still need to clean out the rears real good, but should be layin the POR15 real soon

Rears still need LOTS of love

Also got this real clean OEM Itr arm rest w/ badge from JDMFreak_DC2 Super chill dude. Thanks again man, can't wait to get it in there!

Should be gettin the engine assembled this week or next and still have lots of TLC work left to do so lots of small updates till the money shot! Stay posted
